As he lurched forward his liftgate flew open, and his groceries tumbled out…yogurts smashed, cherries and assorted fruit rolling in all directions, meat packages ripped, jars broken …it was fn glorious. I stepped over the carnage and DID not stop to help. Karma, baby, karMA.

I was stepping off the curb outside of my local supermarket with my one bag of stuff, when a dude in an SUV that was idling at the curb locked eyes with me and yet he proceeded to hit the gas to avoid having to wait the 5 seconds while I crossed in front of him. He nearly knocked me over. 1/2

It’s been a while since I’ve flubbed an email reply. This was a mild one. Still embarrassing. But a good reminder. Have you done this?

And I check, but I already know what I did - I replied to the wrong person. I apologized to her: “I’d never email this to the farm - I’m just negotiating vegetables with hubby. Which I probably shouldn’t do at 2am”.

I get a very sweet email from the farm owner, saying in essence “Can we help?”…😳

I get what I thought was an email from M., listing the veggie array of the week. On autopilot (because 2 AM) I reply to “M.” in my usual shorthand: “Not awful, but what are the subs?”. Next morning…

Story: We get weekly delivery from the local CSA organic farm. Hubby (M.) always sends me the farm’s weekly email with the upcoming veggies. By the way, M. HATES a lot of vegetables, and we often substitute for a preferred veg when available. A couple of days ago…
