Time for a #crochet aran cardigan update... I've reached the scariest part of the project... attempting to sew it together nicely... and then I'll find out whether it fits... and all the work so far has been worthwhile...๐ค๐งถ

So the house... garden... and admin of life... are all mine... He's hoping to retire at the end of the year... and looking forward to cooking again... and getting down to a big clearout... It'll be weird losing full control of everything we eat... but we're both really excited...
You're doing amazing... you've managed to keep working... There's no way I could add work back into my life... I left 12 years ago... when they tried to nag me better... Mr Intgarden works way too hard... with the day job... being a musician... and running a weekly jazz night...
Failed to take a screenshot... but I just got 75... not quite sure how...
HRT gets me to about where most people are before they go on it...
Menopause hit me like a tonne of bricks ~12 years ago... I had a lot of digestive issues... and pointless tests... gave up on being medicalised... but eventually read something on NHS choices about someone's menopause story... crawled into the GPs... asked for HRT... and improved within 2 weeks...
then fertility hormones (clomid & ivf) made me feel really ill... Nearly everyone I know with MECFS are high achieving women... I now believe that not resting enough... especially when you are ill... has a lot to do with it for many people... We all push ourselves too much in the modern world...
When I had chronic fatigue diagnosed I was told that I probably had a hormone imbalance... but nobody was ever willing to do anything about it... they just used to try putting me on the pill... I felt at my best when they once gave me a double dose of hrt after minor surgery...
I love a proper jumper... so much cosier than wearing thin layers...
Sounds like something probably happened in your body when the cyst was removed... I had a glandular fever type illness (CMV) after graduating in 1989... and my body has never quite been the same since... I learned to overwork in my 20s... and was diagnosed with chronic fatigue at ~30...
When did it all first start for you?...
I get chronic fatigue every time I catch a virus badly... and I am an expert... at trapping myself in the boom and bust cycle... but rewiring myself to use my energy in short bursts... and notice when I need to rest... has taken a long time...
Don't go bonkers... enjoying it too much... and then giving yourself a crash... if you can keep everything steady... you might manage to gradually increase it a bit soon... I'm lucky that I've never been fully bedridden... avoiding stress... eating well... and regular short walks keep me going...
A pile of 15 tiny trimmed leeks on a wooden chopping board.
I dug up a couple of clumps of babbington leeks... that had appeared in veg patch... where I dug them out a couple of years ago... there's just about enough to go in the soup for lunch...
Yours are going to be well ahead of mine... mine are still in the seed packet... now that the raised bed is almost set up... I might find the motivation to plant my seeds soon...
Can you reset it to factory settings... or does your router have the special button... that can help things to connect when the password is tricky... it seems a shame to have to resort to a new printer...
It looks like some kind of cartoon dog to me... can't quite put my finger on which one...
So lovely to read an article written by someone who clearly dislikes being in the car as much as I do... but I live my life mostly walking and on public transport... which helps me to feel more connected... with both nature and the community...๐
I can't believe that you do the one in the car... we have never bothered... I'm not ready to start trying to press buttons on the oven yet... but I have done the 3 clocks we change manually... and left the dining room one on it's random time... it was 25 minutes fast & will now be 35 minutes slow...
I might have turned my day around... I'm having quite a late breakfast... but I carried 4 bags of manure down the garden... and spread them on the raised bed before breakfast... ๐๐ช
I grow my peas in trays in an unheated greenhouse... and then plant them out when they are about 6 inches tall... the slugs don't seem interested then... unless you have stressed... or very leggy plants... in good years we get loads... sometimes even so many that we cook some...
The only haptics thing I like... is that my phone feels a bit different if a text has come in... or I have missed a call...
I will probably be doing the same with my spent compost and growbags from the greenhouse... my tubs have never been lucky enough to get a refill... just an occasional top up...
Screenshot of settings page
It's on settings/accessibility... I saw it the other day... when we talked about scrolling profiles...
At least I got it on myself... not the carpet... we still have a nice black stain... from when it happened about 10 years ago...
Today is going to be one of those days... I'm starting the day covered in printer ink... because Mr Intgarden had an early start... and the printer decided that it wanted 2 printer cartridges replacing... before it would print out a document he needed...
I did put cardboard at the bottom... followed by bark chippings... and so long as I get it at least โ full... I'll be happy... I have got another 400l of compost and manure... I was hoping not to use all of it in this bed... but I'll have to see how it goes...
I wouldn't dare put kitchen scraps in... we had to move our compost bin onto the patio... because the nasty creatures with long tails were nesting in the compost bin... I don't want to encourage them back... so I don't even feed the birds... apart from berries, seeds & insects on plants...
I bought a duel language book of short stories when I did french... a friend said that they were easy to read... but she must have done A level french... I found them pretty tricky... but duolingo did get me good enough to read a few... I haven't managed to find a dutch book I fancy trying...
