Why is it that I can never remember if “talent” has one “L” or two, but have no problem flawlessly spelling the word “pterodactyl”?
Yoooo Bluesky, I’m gonna be at @comicartsmaineport.bsky.social tomorrow, table 27A! Look for me!
I’ll be selling my comics, some totes, stickers, patches, and will also be announcing the theme for Fantology V, due to come out this September!

Kristen reaches out from a pixelated version of herself. The title of the comic reads "Creative Spark: As an artist, I use all kinds of technological tools. So why does AI feel distinctly repulsive to me?"

I’m having a hard time visually depicting selecting music to listen to in a comic.
Do you think The Youth would know what a jukebox is? Or a record?

Are there just mountains of dead penguin bodies perfectly preserved under snow and ice surrounding their breeding ground? Like a fortress of the frozen dead?
My BURNING QUESTION is:
What happens to their penguin bodies?
Nothing decomposes in Antarctica. They’re too far inland for scavengers. The ice will never melt to cast their bodies to the sea.
The breeding ground is chosen because it’s far inland, away from predators, on ice that is too thick to melt.
In the harsh Antarctic winters, the males huddle together with their eggs while the females walk back to the ocean to feed
Inevitably, older males will just fall asleep and die.
I stayed at a B&B the other night that had no cable/streaming services, just one small TV and five DVDs, one of which was “March of the Penguins.” So I watched that.
The movie is about how emperor penguins walk for weeks to reach their breeding grounds but I’m left with a BURNING QUESTION.
Simply drawn comic in black and white with blue-gray spot color. Panel 1: A rabbit looks at a book. Rabbit: this comic is very popular, but i don't like it! Panel 2: The rabbit flips through the book. Rabbit: that's cool! i wonder what about it is resonating with people SFX: flip Panel 3: White text on black background spans the width of the page. Caption: why don't i like it? Caption: what would i do differently? Caption: what can i learn from this? Panel 4: Borderless panel. Sequential drawings of the rabbit reading the book. Rabbit 1: flip Rabbit 2: hm! Rabbit 3: huh Rabbit 4, looking up from the book: comics are neat!
Two panel comic drawn simply with black lines and blue-gray spot color. Panel 1: Rabbit looks at a book. Rabbit: this comic is very popular, but i don't like it! Panel 2: The rabbit closes the book with a peaceful smile. Rabbit: well, good for them!
choose your fighter
I second this.
But then I’ll be penciling and my comic script says “draw a pair of legs walking”
And I want to die.

Even though I’m no longer breastfeeding Gwen, I’m still her #1 fan.
Comic page from Gatsby pitch. A dark page where a deep blue peacock is walking through swirly water. Fallen chandeliers, feathers, and a playbook are on the ground.
One comic page of Gatsby’s mansion, him walking through his garden, watching Daisy jump into the water, a panel of him looking at the green light, and the final panel is Nick looking at Gatsby. Strong art deco vibes
I love these pages so much man
