Like I've heard people say RHCP sucks and I totally see where they're coming from but something about them just sort of works for me musically-despite what drawbacks they might have. They absolutely suck as people tho-with the possible exception of Flea

I remember really liking Californication. This Velvet Glove being my favorite. Yeah, Kiedis kinda obviously can't sing at this point-something I feel the production values of most of the 80's records up to BSSM did a good job of obfuscating-but it has that grungy charm to it imo

Really think bands like Tool and Slipknot made a good choice by keeping their identities anonymous for a period of time after breaking into the mainstream. Inability to cope with that initial fame has really fucked up a lot of great artists.
