What's their excuse for not honoring the warranty?

I just completed "Hoof It" - Day 10 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode adventofcode.com/2024/day/10

I love it when part two can be done by removing code from part one. ๐Ÿ˜

This one was done in Python, but sometime soon I'm going to put up a blog on doing day 6 in QuickBASIC on a Macintosh Classic.

My SCSI drive died very shortly after I got the computer, but the ZuluSCSI saved me. I've been able to try out different OS versions and some of the software I used when I was a child.

I actually use a ZuluSCSI adapter that makes an SD card look like a SCSI hard drive. It's not as hard-core as floppy disks, but it's reliable.

I did it the hard way. And it doesn't help that QuickBASIC 1.0.0 (the only version available on Mac) has slightly different syntax to the later DOS versions (DO WHILE... LOOP doesn't exist, but WHILE... WEND does).

Macintosh Classic running QuickBASIC

I've completed Part One of Day 2 - Advent of Code 2024 #AdventOfCode adventofcode.com/2024/day/2

Today I made it a bit more of a challenge - by using QuickBASIC for the first time in over 30 years.

Took me 1.5 hours versus 5 minutes yesterday. Programming languages have come a *long* way.
