The killing of Alex Pretti is a heartbreaking tragedy. It should also be a wake-up call to every American, regardless of party, that many of our core values as a nation are increasingly under assault.

It looks like it's been scrubbed from every official 60 Minutes page now.

It's only a 30-second promo but here it is if you didn't get a chance to see it.

Would you like to be warned about hurricanes, tornadoes, severe weather? Yeah, most people would. Continued science? Sure, it helps us all!

We have seen this move before. Correspondent @ronanfarrow.bsky.social was suppressed by @nbcnews.com . It won’t end any better for @cbsnews.com than it did for NBC

GM! ☀️ What Fed doesn’t want to start their day with a rousing survey?

This one really matters: the Public Service Viewpoint Survey—by feds, for feds—so your voice is heard even after OPM canceled FEVS.

Current feds—take it! 💚

Someone needs to tell them that Jesus don't want no part of that shit. In fact, these are the same people that would crucify him for being an illegal alien.

A broken clock is right at least twice a day.

And so they can still be right in this instance but also be the most bottom of the barrel shitbags ever.

LOL No, they can stay outside. It was quite nippy this morning. I had to put the dogs in their coats for their walk (44F here)

All religious books have shitty things in them. the motto I live by:

Treat people as you would want them to treat you.
Be the best person you can every day.
Care for those who can't care for themselves.
Don't be a shitbag unless its warranted.

These days I don't compete and I'm currently over 200lbs. Still, my bodyfat is 18-20%, plus I'm active and over 50. Conclusion is the charts don't include us, too many variables. Any new doc I've had that comments on my weight, I tell them, no, really look at me before saying anything.

I haven't been inside of a Target in over a year. Looks like I'll keep that going.

Even at my leanest (171 lbs, 7% body fat) I was still considered obese according to BMI and I definitely knew I was not obese by any stretch.

I'm out strolling along Milwaukee Avenue, and a couple middle schoolers just handed me a whistle + information about how to resist ICE in Chicago"

We all get old. That comment is ageist, asinine, not acceptable, and unbecoming of an alt department.

PRESS RELEASE
AFGE RANK AND FILE ISSUE OPEN LETTER TO PRESIDENT KELLEY
Union federal workers say "We need to hold the line!"
Washington, DC, November 6, 2025
AFGE Reformers, a group of rank and file members working for increased democracy within the American Federation of Government Employees, have issued an open letter to AFGE President Everett Kelley disagreeing with his recent call for an immediate end to the federal government shutdown via a “clean” continuing resolution.
Although federal workers have faced unprecedented attacks this year, reopening the federal government with a budget that harms working people is not worth the cost, the members who have signed on say. Signatories urge AFGE leaders to stand with allies in Congress who are trying to secure a better budget: one that ensures affordable healthcare, protects public services, and constrains unprecedented executive power over federal spending.
Mae apGoyannon (he/they), AFGE Local 2157 states, “I was shocked when I read President Kelley’s statement. Myself and most of the other federal workers I know think that helping keep healthcare and other costs affordable for the majority of Americans is more important than getting paid sooner. We took an oath to defend the Constitution and serve the people, and we are helping each other hold on without pay as long as we can so that we can continue to fulfill that oath.”
“We must rally around our colleagues and fellow Feds not receiving a paycheck to ensure they are taken care of. Bring them meals, pay a bill, collect cash donations from mutual friends. Come together and make sure they are ok because as a long time union member, I cannot support a policy position that puts our timely paycheck above the basic rights of all Americans to affordable healthcare,” says Julia Simon (she/her), AFGE Local 1969. “An injury to one is an injury to all. This is what solidarity looks li…

The American Federation of Gov Employees issued a press release (11/6/25) opposing AFGE Pres. Kelley's call for a "clean" end to the shutdown.
The union MUST "hold the line" for a budget that secures affordable healthcare & collective bargaining rights before restoring paychecks.
Do not surrender.

I would totally pee on him. It wouldn't be enough to put out the fire, and because I like asparagus, I'd make sure to eat enough to make it decently smelly.

he'd be on fire and smelly. thats a win.

AWS (Amazon Web Service) Innovate Event

AWS (Amazon Web Service) Innovate Event

Lot of sites and services are down or out because of AWS. Interestingly enough, there's an AWS "innovate" event on October 23.

Something about future proof your enterprise workloads... or maybe just be out of service for a long time.

Federal Courts Slow to Fix Vulnerable System After Repeated Hacking

"In three reports released between 2021 and 2022, the [18F] consultants recommended that the courts immediately build a new case-management system, one that would address not only security, but broader issues like user experience and the complexity of software changes made by individual courts."

Malarkey makes Prasad king of knowledge in the FDA via dumb ass email.

The other day Malarkey sent an email. The short of it is, they are removing SME’s from meetings and replacing them with fellow fuck off (Dr.) Prasad. This is all in the consolidation move I posted about before. You can read the wold ball gargling email below.

I waitress while I run for Congress. I know what it’s like to stretch a paycheck, juggle bills, and still show up for your community.

Washington needs more people who live like us — not just talk about us.

Derrick Van Orden talks the talk. I'll walk the walk.
