The Reason model of accidents, sometimes also known as the Swiss cheese model.

The Reason model of accidents, sometimes also known as the Swiss cheese model.

Professor James Reason passed away a few days ago. The Reason model - often known as the Swiss cheese model - of accidents revolutionised aviation safety and risk management practices, as it did for many other fields. Vale.

This is interesting but I’m wary of a buddying system as it is a way that native English speakers with many papers get even more. Akin to junior researchers having to put someone senior (usually male) on a grant application to prove track record

A question for policy makers and healthcare commissioners: given obesity and depression are closely linked, why do we treat them separately? Why don’t we start with person-centred approach to discover strengths and build motivation for self care?
