It’s tough b/c often big retailers won’t even take books if they don’t have the special effects, which are SO expensive to print & force us to drive up the price. But it’s either that or we don’t get the buy-in at all, which helps no one. It can feel like a lose-lose-lose situation!

My prediction for how The Summer I Turned Pretty will differ from the book: Belly & Conrad do not kiss before the wedding. Belly makes the active choice not to marry Jeremiah instead of~*the drama*~ breaking them up. She will not immediately end up w/ Conrad. 1/2

As the ppl in my life started having kids, I’ve made it a habit to always congratulate the parents on their child’s first birthday for surviving their first year of parenthood. It’s arguably a bigger accomplishment than whatever that baby has been up to.
