Yesterday I filmed several baby birds walking across a street directly at my camera and asked Bluesky to suggest music
Several dozen folks did
Some even dubbed music over the original clip.
I haven't been able to get this out of my head.
So I give you
A Bluesky exclusive:

Day 6 of #ArtAdventCalendar: I was watching this Grizzly Bear and her cub when she stopped for a moment, sat up, and seemed to just take in the view as the sun began to set. #wildlife
Literature is being drowned out by state propaganda, misinformation, and sentimental slop. This is a global problem.
The poptimists and sloptimists have won. Our new issue, “After Words,” describes our postliterate moment, when everything from serious criticism to literary fiction to children’s books seems on the verge of being replaced by content trash.

Some of you need to look it the mirror and repeat “capitalist politicians don’t care about me” over and over again until it sticks in your dense fucking head

A photo of groundcherries (Alkekengi) in a garden in winter. The round, orange, cherry tomato-like fruits are suspended in the center of pendulous, vaguely heart-shaped husks made of networks of dried beige veins. The husks have a delicate, skeletal, lattice-like structure, reminiscent of laser-cut papercraft.
In winter through early spring, you can sometimes find unspoiled, still-bright groundcherries sitting in the latticed remnants of their husks, like hearts suspended in paper ribcages

Two scribes depicted in an ancient Assyrian low relief, using styluses to write on clay tablets.
A cuneiform tablet with writing on it.
For me, the most incredible artefacts from the ancient world are the letters people wrote on clay tablets and sent to one another over thousands of years in Mesopotamia, going back to more than 5,000 years ago.
They contain recognisable humanity, warmth and humour. Here's a thread of my favourites.
