Just finished teaching the topic of revenge to close out Phil 270: Conceptual Foundations of Conflict for the semester. We read @alicemac.bsky.social's 'Hell Hath No Fury' but got surprising mileage out of working at length through Taylor Swift on "dressing for revenge". I love teaching this class.

I love this! Since really, work on revenge needs to take the form of a trilogy, I’ve been tempted to write a third paper on revenge on the oeuvre of T Swift…
I just donated to this team and so should you :)
Before April 22, I would not have believed a Supreme Court justice would flat out lie- but as the author of the children's book in question, I can confirm that he absolutely did. Thanks @jaywillis.net for reporting on this- more people should be.
I wrote Pride Puppy and @whatwouldjuliedraw.bsky.social illustrated. We know exactly what it does (and does not!) include. So when Neil Gorsuch started talking about bondage and sex work, while claiming he'd read our book, we knew he was lying. Thanks to @jaywillis.net for this incredible piece.
Worth a read.
The newly announced Barrantes Prizes in Philosophy (funded by a generous donation by York Philosophy alum Ben Barrantes), will annually reward 3 undergrad students and 3 MA/PhD students who showcase how philosophy can contribute to addressing contemporary social issues.
