Infowars is now owned by The Onion. Glorious. This is the progress we need. Maybe even deserve.

Martin Galway has graciously released the source code to his Wizball music and driver on github. Be amazed at how so much music was hand crafted into such a small space with no trackers / editors. github.com/MartinGalway...
the life of a videogame artist, from hobbyist to possible art director
I was thinking about how difficult it is to go from Intermediate to Senior Artist in games (you need to really develop 1 or 2 core skills, probably more, to an elite level) and before I knew it I was making a little Videogame Artist career life timeline, a bit unhinged and imperfect but ... close 😅
100%, all this. The Pitt is so damn well made, and refreshing in some hard to put in words way. Or, not that hard after seeing Noah Wyle describe it exactly, I guess.
Also, cool as hell tidbits re attention points of todays audience. Applicable to games in many ways.
NEW: A new pre-print study offers the first causal evidence that outsourcing reasoning tasks to AI can rapidly erode users' independent performance AND their will to persist despite difficulty.
"People’s persistence drops... they’re also not willing to try without AI.”

This is a fucking ridiculous and stupid move :/
On this day in 1985 'tant' Danuta Danielsson showed us what do do when you see (neo) Nazis marching again:

Get books. Read them, get cut by the paper. Books, once in shelf, haunt you forever. Books end up collecting you. Books lure you in and nest in you. While you are comfortably surrounded by entire worlds, their plotlines are escalating inside you. We are made of words. Books are delightful.

View from Aiguille du Midi panoramic bridge in Chamonix, France
(proof!)
Insane image. I've visited Aiguille du Midi once, and the views were both gorgeous and desolate in a distinct "yeaah feeble human does not matter here" way.
Coming back down was hilarious with air feeling literally so much thicker. Weird for us sealevel-living peeps. Definitely returning again.
Again - BlueSky was originally Jack Dorsey’s pet project to make a Web3 social media / NFT trading post until a bunch of trans furries got ahold of invite codes and started mass-proliferating them to other trans furries and then suddenly BlueSky was 90% queers and annoying leftists and Jack fled.
Seth rogen Dude this is total bullshit. It's completely the directors fault often. 12:08 PM - 15 Nov 2017 Seth Rogen • @Sethrogen Replying to @: Vfx are tool like anything else, and if a director can't use it properly it's no different than being able to use the camera properly or direct actors properly.
Lexi Alexander Bad take my friend. VFX is so competitive, you'll be hard pressed to find a whole company that sucks still in business. Bad CGI means the director was a self-important dick or production asked for a castle while paying for a tent and demanded it be done in 24 hours on top of it.
Duncan jones I would go further and say the blame belongs with the director, the credit with the VFX house.
James Gunn @L "!.A good director oversees every single VFX shot, again & again. The director has as much say as anyone in the quality, the artistry, & the consistency between vendors. Along with editing a film, it is the primary job of a director in post on a VFX heavy film.
From 2018:
"Every once in a while, Twitter is great. Like the time a bunch of film directors dunked hard on an ignorant VFX take."
Let's gooooo!

You develop an instant global consciousness, a people orientation, an intense dissatisfaction with the state of the world, and a compulsion to do something about it. From out there on the moon, international politics look so petty. You want to grab a politician by the scruff of the neck and drag him a quarter of a million miles out and say, ‘Look at that, you son of a bitch
This quote from Apollo 14 astronaut Edgar Mitchell has been in my head the last few days
<I’m wheeled into the Pitt>
Santos: male, 36, at happy hour, now saying “tummy feel crazy”
Al-Hashimi: 47% of men’s bodies reject modern IPAs. They’re too hoppy now
Robi: the silent killer. Get him to surgery
McKay <alone now, staring straight at camera>: I am the same type of communist as you
Well, putting it that way makes the whole idea allright actually
Shout-out to every other Gen Xer that was holding their breath the entire time for the first five mintues of the launch
