A person in right relationship with their own timing is harder to extract from.
That's not a wellness insight. It's a political one.

The Greeks had three words for time. Chronos extracts. Kairos strategizes. Aion just knows. This week my Daimon moved me through somatic abolitionism, ecological grief, and into a film screening where I ended up one degree from Alonso del Rio, the musician whose icaros have held me through grief.
My youngest caught me looking up a chart and told someone I was about to "read them dirty." That cracked me up. And then I realized… yeah. That's exactly what I do.
The problem in the astrology and Human Design community is that we use our charts like a personality quiz and then forget about them.
I was in 6th grade when I found the word Iraq in the dictionary. My teacher said these two countries would be the most significant of our lifetimes. That was 45 years ago. The bombs are still falling.
We are the ones standing between what harmed us and what we are weaving forward. Decolonizing Time through response-ability and lineage repair means learning to carry what is ours, and releasing what never was, so the next generation inherits rhythm instead of rupture.
13 Kame is a powerful ancestor portal at the eclipse threshold. Bone memory. Endings as doorways.
As 1 Kej approaches Wednesday, notice what you’re carrying. Some of it is real. Some of it is inherited.
Walk slowly with Time today.
Jaimey came into this year holding five meaningful, long-term goals. Nothing was failing, but nothing was landing either. When we opened their Map and found the center, one clean commitment instead of divided devotion, their nervous system settled, and the work finally started to move.
I was the oldest grandchild, trained early to be the glue, the bridge, the capable one who could hold what others could not. This is about the inheritance of being useful, the quiet erosion of depletion, and the moment I realized that loving my family did not require offering my body as collateral.
Treating your body like a resource to be spent down for meaningful work is colonial time logic. It teaches us that extraction is devotion and depletion is proof that something matters. Some work strengthens you, some work slowly empties you. They do not feel the same in the body. More on this here:
Urgency is not timing. Pressure trains you to decide fast. Timing asks whether your life can hold the yes. Most regret isn’t about choosing wrong. It’s about letting urgency decide.
I wrote about why integrity lives in aligned timing, not speed. If urgency has been running the show, this will land.
Ancient astrology knows the importance of vitality and direction. Lately, I’ve been studying Dane Rudhyar, and how glimmers of what holds feel different from dopamine, and why regret repeats when we miss the signal. Rilke’s advice on living the questions holds. This inquiry became a new offering.
Today breathes with the energy of 9 Toj, a day that calls for Reciprocity, Healing, and Creative Flow. We’re planting spells with sweet potatoes, cloves, and coins. This is kitchen magic for making sacred payments and feeding what feeds you. The kind your landlord doesn’t need to know about.
If you’ve been doomscrolling, shutting down, or going numb from political overwhelm, you’re not alone. This is a reminder of agency, rhythm, and present-tense action in the face of urgency. If you’re looking for support that doesn’t gaslight you about what’s happening, you’re in the right place.
Loved this chat!
Decolonizing Time with Ixchel Lunar and the main points we discussed about deadrenalizing your body in order to feel safe enough to step out of grind culture.
If you constantly feel like you’re failing a schedule you didn't even create, this episode is for you.
I sat down with Indigenous Time Ecologist @decolonizingtime.bsky.social to talk about why "time management" is actually a tool of the grind.

I lived through uprising and backlash once already in Nicaragua. A temporary platform shutout brought those lessons back fast. This Dragon Letter is about visibility, data, and why building capacity outside surveillance platforms matters now, not later.

Hello from the jungle forest. 🌲 I learned more about Time from sloths and forests than from calendars. write about rhythm, land, and bodies living under pressure. There’s a free five-day embodied practice for those who want to begin gently.
Oh! You know Nicole?! I love it when worlds collide 💓
This is a Dragon Letter about the enshittification of coaching certifications and why so many good practitioners are being priced out of their own work. I am writing about coaching, licensing, and what gets lost when the medicine you offer becomes something you have to keep buying.

There’s a kind of business decision that isn’t strategy; it’s a nervous system in survival, trying to hold a whole economy on its back.
Many of us were trained to make launches, offers, and growth calls from exhaustion, fear, or urgency… and then blame ourselves when our bodies collapse.
Where do butterflies go when it rains?
I was read that question as a child.
Fifty years later, the land answered at dusk.

Just wrapped a fantastic conversation with Nicole Havelka. We dive deep into complexities of burnout, political activism, + the journey to decolonizing time.
The conversation took some fascinating turns, exploring: "How understanding our body's needs can be the catalyst for transformative change."
Empire trained us to move fast, stay braced, and confuse endurance with worth. Many of us learned to override the body and call it response-ability.
We return to a rhythm that protects the soul empire tried to erase.
The year doesn’t need to be finished. Urgency is wearing a care costume. After sitting in temazcal, meeting my own reflex to flee discomfort, tomorrow I’m hosting a live Rhythm Reset to slow Time down enough to listen, without forcing insight or resolutions based on decrees from some guy named Greg.
My birthday, my first posada, solstice as a pause, land protection as Time repair, and what happens when obedience to the clock starts to fail.
Tracing how refusal shows up quietly through ritual, neighbor care, and choosing a different pace.
A collective way to listen + orient as the year turns.
