It's a real failure that there are not ambient soft pretzels around in New England the way there are in the greater Philadelphia area. I have to work and plan to get a soft pretzels here rather than just having them reveal themselves to me as I go about my day

Deanna Stellato-Dudek winning Skate Canada and Max Scherzer starting game 7 of the World Series. This has the potential to be a great day for athletes in their 40s repping Canada 🇨🇦

Red Sox clinched a playoff spot and my mental health has never been mentally healthier!
This is a game people actually care about, was it really necessary for apple to do even more product placement. So glad they are done with baseball after this
The Tigers can't win and the Guardians can't lose. September baseball really is something else
Congrats Mets! The Red Sox really appreciate this
I've been seeing Mets fans losing it for days. Not happy that the Red Sox have decided to join them in a September collapse
I strongly encourage moderate organizations to primarily focus on language policing. I will be busy organizing all of your people, who are radiantly furious with Democrats and ready to clean house
WILD situation in Texas right now: The House Speaker has required Dems, who just returned from their out-of-state quorum break, to have police escorts once they leave the chamber. One Dem is refusing to leave the House floor with escort, and GOP leaders have blocked press access to the chamber.

Anyone coming in with 2004 comparisons can take a seat. They made the ALCS and just missed winning it in 03. A team that has placed last three out of the last five years is a whole different story. Not an ownership group or front office that deserves any benefit of the doubt
The Red Sox LIVE for getting divorced. Like, DIVORCED divorced.
When the Red Sox made a mess with Rafael Devers and decided a trade was the way to clean it up, they had to know the aftermath would be even messier.
Because even if it ultimately works out, right now, for fans, it is only this:
Boston's best player is gone. Again.

Posted up at a local bar for a sammy and a beer while I file my story about today's protests. but here's a story y'all might appreciate.
While I was there I saw and older gentleman with this sign.
It should not be lost on anyone that Minnesota Rep Melissa Hortman, who was shot to death in her home last night by an assassin, was a gun safety advocate who worked tirelessly to protect her constituents from gun violence.
So they want to ban middle grade dystopian fiction--along with the histories of systemic violence and discrimination--so we won't know where they get their utterly psychotic ideas, is that right?
just so we’re all clear: the reason they keep using dolls as their example is because they’re trying to frame caring about material stuff as feminine and thus inherently shameful
Q: "How do you respond to Governor Newsom?"
Sen. Van Hollen: "I think Americans are tired of elected officials or politicians who are all finger to the wind...Anybody who can't stand up for the Constitution and the right of due process doesn't deserve to lead."
Let's go!!

You don't need a permit to protest in response to breaking news and you don't need a permit to march in the streets or along sidewalks, as long as you're not obstructing traffic or access to buildings. When you are lawfully present in any public space, you have the right to photograph anything in plain view, including federal buildings and the police. If you believe your rights have been violated, when you can, write down everything you remember, get contact information for witnesses, and take photographs of any injuries. If you get stopped by the police, ask if you're free to go. The statutory requirement to fund state libraries under attack here amounts to $4.5 million per year to New Jersey.
The Seattle Times "There's nothing you need to do - we've deducted the funds from LEONARD A. JOHNSON's account." Uh oh. It itemized how $5,201 had been stricken from their bank account, on the grounds that Ned wasn't justified to get those benefits - because he was dead. That was for payments he'd received in December and January. Ned found that his February Social Security check hadn't been paid, and he's yet to receive his March check, either. His Medicare insurance had been canceled. He also learned that when you die, your credit score gets marked as "deceased, do not issue credit," which makes it tough to get a loan.
DOGE/SSA marked this person dead and *removed his savings from his bank account,* cancelled his social security and Medicare. #seattle www.seattletimes.com/seattle-news/politics/he...
