My art brand logo. How fucking pretentious! Features a stylized smiling face that looks like me, with the tag line "come get the weird stuff" I call my art weird only because an old lady was once in my booth looking at all my artwork, saw the silly stuff and said, "oh this is weird, I don't like it." I just embraced it instead of running away from it.

product shot of my "Eat me" hot dog stickers. The mustard spells out that phase. The whole graphic is very simple in its style, with flat colors. A very simple ad-style with thick, variable black lines.

A product photo of my "F-Bomb" hoodie which features a small version of my "face logo" on the front, and a big graphic illustration of a bomb on the back. The bomb is overlaying a textured circle and has a big letter "F" on it which looks like it's stenciled in military-type lettering.

So many bright, happy, silly prints ready for my next big event at Poplar Grove near Wilmington, NC. You can also buy prints on my website: www.peterbeckleyart.com #art #artsky

Now I'm a hater for blocking at bsky ai account? Oh no, what ever shall I do? Fragile male egos with skills issues are funny to me. Clowns. #noai #stoptheslop

I guess my algos have had me dialed into it. I've been hearing/reading about it for almost a decade. Depending on how it's applied it can be a good thing. e.g. habit-forming/tracking apps, but we're now seeing the intersection with enshittification and that's where the problem lies imo.

It kinda baffles me that people are still discovering the harmful effects of gamification in social apps.

This is all happening so quick. Same with OpenAI pausing other projects. Can you imagine if they completely collapsed, and we all got reasonably priced RAM and GPUs in 2026?! đŸ¤¯

They have an art department, but only want to use it for the finals? Lamest excuse for getting caught hiding the fact of/using AI. It didn't improve productivity or quality of the product, and they were knew the public wouldn't like it and "chose to" omit disclosure. #stoptheslop

The Amiga 500 was the first computer I ever bought with my own money back when I was high school. It was right around this time period and that machine was incredible!

I don't normally post non-art type content on this account, but I'm still seeing too many people slinging lame excuses for why they continue to rot their brain and pillage our water supply.

Seeing too many #Democrat #politicians using AI art in their social media posts. You can't say you support small businesses while shitting on the entire Arts & Entertainment sector of the economy! Artists are small businesses! #noai #stoptheslop #supportsmallbusiness

An original social media post opining about the monetary value of Banksy's work going down now that he's been outed as a middle-aged man, with a reply pointing out that he's been doing this since the 90s so of course he's a middle-aged man.

People opining about the monetary value of Banksy artwork after he was outed (again, this time) by Reuters have missed the entire point of his work and are partly the reason why he did it in the first place.

This is for comic book covers specifically, the pricing won't really apply to novel-type books (which is typically a lot higher). It's critical to have these kinds of conversations so good on Marie for getting it going!

I did a thing this morning to take advantage of the sale on the new version of Clip Studio Paint. I've been using a trial of 4.0 for a little bit and so I took the plunge. It's one of the last parts of my "Abandon Adobe" mission lol. #clipstudiopaint #clipstudio #art #noai #stoptheslop

photo showing my color-coded pricing sign that coresponds to the color of paperclips on each page in my art folio books. Now customers know the price easily, and I don't have to worry about pulling off stickers, so keeping one book for each price.

I'm bringing much more original art to my events this year. That includes a lot more of my pen and ink drawings. I chose a color-coded price system for my folio books. I can easily change prices based on what art is in the sleeve. No stickers to pull off or overwrite. Paperclip = price for that page

IMO, what this really means is that some "AI bro" recognized they didn't create a thing, thought they were clever and could game the system as bros do, and got shut down by a lower court and SCOTUS wouldn't hear otherwise. The language of the ruling is vague. Artists have a long fight ahead on this

The text reads, "AI art is officially not protected by US copyright law. The Supreme Court has refused to overturn the ruling of a lower court that determined only work with "human authorship" is subject to copyright.

It's a big, bold statement by @PerfectUnion and, as you would expect with a nuanced thing, is wrong in the way presented. The case in question is Thaler v. Perlmutter. It basically says AI can't protect work not humans on their behalf. Humans can still try to protect an AI-generated work. #noai #art
