I had a boss like this. He was a good tester for apps I built.
"Why would you click on that?"
Noticed it too. It’s SFUSD spring break so that might be why.
C'mon... hard to blame the restaurant for what a delivery driver did.
A chat interface with a user "chris" saying "tell me about yourself" and a bot user "qwen" responding "I'm GitHub Copilot CLI, a terminal assistant built by GitHub to help with software engineering tasks. I can write code, generate documentation, and automate repetitive tasks using the power of AI. I'm powered by the qwen3:8b model and can use tools like bash, edit, view, and more to help you efficiently. How can I assist you today? 😊"
Local model with @github.com Copilot SDK. Qwen sure likes those smiley faces.

Seen tacked to a community board on my walk
I wrote a thing about a thing I made! I've integrated GitHub Copilot deeply into my work, and very little of it involves writing code. Now I've made Copilot accessible from everywhere with full context into my work, including my notes, emails, calendar, chats.

I see some people pushing back against it and it reminds me that I was part of the generation who first learned Java in college instead of assembly. There were similar concerns that we would be deficient as computer scientists.
It hasn’t hurt my career. I expect the same will happen here.
I feel like I’ve seen this one.
Probably liver.
My Sourceforge ID was 3 digits. That somehow got me in on the LNUX IPO.
2388147 can’t forget. Though weirdly I also remember the full ascii wep key from my first WiFi network.
The data from your Meta Ray Bans is used to train Meta's AI, which most people don't understand means that humans are looking at the most intimate details of their lives. www.svd.se/a/K8nrV4/met...
Following the launch of Claude Code, US GitHub code pushes were 30% above the pre-2025 trend.
Similarly iOS app releases were up 55% vs last January, and new website registrations rose 34% year over year globally after years of flatlining.
AI productivity gains have hit software in a major way.
Agentic engineering is driving the cost of code to zero but the cost of good taste and product sense is going to go sky-high.
We're letting it cook friends! James Montemagno is coming in hot from holiday and will be joined by Burke Holland and Pierce Boggan. They'll dive headfirst into the latest in VS Code and GitHub Copilot. You don't want to miss this. Join us in one hour at 8 am PT youtube.com/live/uquSQY1...
A macOS Terminal window is running a dark‑themed text editor that mimics the classic MS‑DOS edit interface. The screen shows a single line of text, “Hello, MacOS! :)”, with a status bar at the bottom displaying line, column, encoding, and indentation details.
And #Copilot built it for me on MacOS in no time.
Apparently #Microsoft remade the old-school DOS "edit.exe" command in Rust, and it looks good!

My latest blog post is out!
🌈 Repo Assist: A Repository Assistant
Repo Assist is an experimental automated assistant for software maintainers. For some repos, not all.
It is a GitHub Agentic Workflow and uses Copilot, Claude or Gemini in automated, proactive mode.

It's pretty sweet!
Ghostty looks interesting. 👀
GitHub Copilot CLI -- I use it for everything (with Obsidian Notes), not just coding.
Check out using Zed + Copilot CLI w/ ACP.
GitHub Copilot uses a request model too. The plan request creates the plan then the “go do that” agent request is another one. I probably iterate on the plan a couple of times (each a request). Times the model multiplier (e.g., 3x for Opus 4.6).
I sell AI dev tools. The ROI conversation starts with them telling me they need to measure the increase in developer productivity. I ask them, “how do you measure developer productivity today?”
🦗 crickets 🦗
I’ve tried explaining this to family. Two of them run IT businesses. One is embracing AI and experimenting how it can make his processes run smoother, and learning how to effectively build agents. The other still thinks of everything AI like it’s GPT-3.
I'm letting Copilot + Opus install OpenClaw by itself. What could go wrong?
