Pixar is so back??? They've finally graduated from generational trauma to fuck cars and late-stage capitalism and some light ecoterrorism, as a treat. Yeah, it's gonna be oversimplified and a little naive because it's for kids, but still moving.

Okay for real, this movie felt so toothless despite it being a tragedy. Jessica Henwick needs to be in more movies.

Crime 101 (2026)

A stylish thriller but a little slow for my tastes. It's impressive how they got Chris Hemsworth to act with negative charisma around every woman.

Loved all the LA landmarks at least.

Fruits Basket: Prelude (2022)

This was the most confusing recap movie ever. It was jumping all over the place and made no sense. We left early because someone was sneezing and blowing their nose. It didn't seem worth getting sick over.

Mercy (2026)

Can't believe the worst movie of the year is already here.

I'm STILL thinking about that final chase scene. Earlier in the film, I literally thought that car chases were so passe, but they really made something special and, honestly, transcendent. Ocean waves, baby. 🌊

All You Need is Kill (2025)

An interesting take on the existing lore, but the character designs are horrendous. The movie also thinks it's way cooler than it actually is.

One Battle After Another (2025)

I didn't realize this was a black comedy going in. Incredible pacing from start to finish. Leo plays bumbling, washed-up has-been so well. I can't believe this is Chase Infiniti's debut? She's going places.

Lupin the IIIrd the Movie: The Immortal Bloodline

I expected something like Uncharted, but it was way goofier than I expected. I know Uncharted has supernatural stuff too, but still, it was so unserious and bad. The direction and style felt so inconsistent

Kingsman: The Secret Service (2014)

We need more over-the-top action and spy movies. It's such a breath of fresh air compared to the gritty, naturalist movies coming out.

I almost didn't see "Eternity" in theaters because it was raining so hard, but I'm glad I did because I loved it. Miles Teller killed it. Elizabeth Olsen played exasperated so well.

Yeah, 1000xRESIST was supremely my shit. The slow drip of information and intrigue were fantastic. It scratched that itch I've wanted since finishing the Dark Tower series where I'm given just enough information to pique my interest without overexplaining.

I saw all the positive buzz around 1000xRESIST but didn't really dig into detail, so I downloaded it expecting an action game like Stellar Blade lmao

I played 2 hrs thinking "wow this is a long intro" before realizing this *was* the game (which is to say awesome)

"The Dark Tower 5: Wolves of the Calla" by Stephen King was great. There was only one flashback section I was kinda droning through. I like how King keeps the world so mystical even though it's parallel and familiar to ours. I also enjoyed the build up to the climax more than the climax itself.

I finished the audiobook by Jenny Han. It's carried by Lola Tung's narration. Her voice is so good at conveying that nostalgic romanticism, despite the book being meh otherwise.

The show improved on basically everything, like this was Han's original vision.

Okay I am OBSESSED with "The Summer I Turned Pretty." I love an earnest romance show. It's nostalgic and fantastical like a good romance anime, but with the most impressive naturalist acting. The foreshadowing and payoffs from season 1 to 3 are impeccable.

Final Fantasy XVI is so bad. It's like a low-budget GoT fanfic except worse because all the sex and violence is implied/off-screen. Cid just died, and I literally don't care. Ultima did pull a goatse, though, so at least there's that.

My rogue at paragon level 292, which is 72% of the way to paragon 300. This will add to paragon 300 when combined with my characters on the eternal realm.

Why the hell did I subject myself to this grind lol... 292 is 72% of the way to 300 in terms of culumative XP. Luckily, when season 10 starts, my character will roll over and combine XP to reach 300 in the eternal realm.

I understand why Diablo 4 has the dad game reputation now. I literally don't have time to participate in dungeons/fractals or meta-events that take uninterrupted time anymore, whereas I can usually grind the Pit for paragon levels while the baby naps and stop at any time.

I'm trying to get back into Guild Wars 2, but it always feels like MMOs need to much setup to get to the fun parts, whereas ARPGs I can get to the combat right away. Dunno how much longer I'll give it.
