Good luck. You can do it. I went to rehab in 2019. Celebrating 6 years sober from alcohol on 7/4. Listen to what they tell you. Try to be empathetic about what you hear. And when you get out, don’t drink. I recommend meetings. And take it one day at a time.

Yes I totally get it. It’s damn frustrating. I also had to become open minded to taking another medicine. But it’s very simple and helps. My wife is a np and she says it’s the most old school most reliable diabetes drug there is. I take it once a day and my numbers are consistent. Best to you.

I lost 30 pounds and ran a marathon in 2018 after being told, I had pre-diabetes and then my A1c spiked in 2019 despite that. I have been on metformin ever since and it has been totally manageable. Hope you have similarly manageable results for whatever your next step is.
