Glad you could use it!

Thanks for letting us know about the gov's email. His seems to randomly bounce for some people.

We'll resend stuff to him from our side. If you checked the box to have a letter delivered, we'll make sure it gets to him that way as well.

Save SEPTA! | Don't Privatize SEPTA Privatizing SEPTA will lose money.

We go into a bit more detail on this (as it specifically relates to privatization) here: SaveSEPTA.com/privatization

Hey, thanks for asking! While the day-to-day impact for riders isn't super tangible, that's not the goal of the post.

It's trying to correct the narrative that SEPTA is wasteful/corrupt, as those who oppose funding it say. SEPTA effectively uses taxpayer dollars, and should be entrusted with more.

Compared to its peers, SEPTA is the most efficient transit system. Compared to its peers that privatize? They blow them out of the water.

IS SEPTA BLUFFING? Short Answer: No Swipe for the long answer

SEPTA may cut some of its most popular regional rail lines including: Paoli/Thorndale (most popular, 2.8M rides/year), Trenton (4th most popular, 2.3M rides/year), and Wilmington/Newark (1.25M rides/year).

A lot more will be cut. Check the link in bio for more details.

SEPTA rents the lines from the last slide from Amtrak.

On top of operating the lines, SEPTA also has to pay rent to Amtrak. Cutting these lines allows them to save on both rent and operations.

SEPTA also legally has to maintain rails they own, even if they don't run any trains!

This means cutting a SEPTA-owned line saves a lot less money since SEPTA still has to pay for maintenance.

How Far do your tax dollars for Transit go?

After people complaining over and over that SEPTA was inefficient, I had to run the numbers of Ridership to Operating budgets and would you look at that.
Not only is SEPTA good with money, but they are literally the best in the US
