Red ribbed hand knit red hat on the needles.

Making the newly popular red hat of protest as I get ready for a snowy weekend/week. I have offered to help my friends over FaceTime if they want to make one and run into trouble. Knitting has long been a piece of protesting.

Vouchers, Patriotism and Prayer: The Trump Administration’s Plan to Remake Public Education Education Secretary Linda McMahon is bringing about a new era in education — and perhaps the end of public schools as we know them.

ProPublica asked Moms for Liberty co-founder Tiffany Justice what percentage of kids she’d like to see in public schools: “I hope to get to zero,” she said.

Some at the Education Department agree — and are dismantling the agency from within.

Ironically, have to thank a DNA test, a found bio sib, and a kpop kdrama culture machine for having me rethink my relationship to Korea. It’s complicated so complicated because Holt and both our governments, but I think I’ve managed to separate out some of the culture from the politics.

Icetapo just pistol whipped a man and executed him in broad daylight in Minneapolis. And there are still people thinking I'm exaggerating when I say this is Gwangju in 1980

I thought I’d try something new - like start a project the same year I bought the yarn. This is a cold heart hat by @caitlinhunter.bsky.social with yarn from @knitterkim.bsky.social in #kpopdemonhunter themed colors. Reminds me a lot of the Koln cathedral.

It was an outstanding trip. I agree about the movie. Inspiring cultural curiosity is a good thing. Gone are the days perhaps where wearing a hanbok for Halloween was something I had to explain. (I had a home grown one through first grade.)

It's a lovely color and am so happy to see YOU making a Kpop Demon Hunters colorway. I think I'll have to get some. I went to Korea in July just after seeing the movie. (Coincidence.)
