This subreddit seems to love brigading, there's been a few recent cases of them harassing developers to the point of them taking down their projects.

It'll be at one of the Suites in the NEC on the UKGE Saturday.

Bastion Indie Market - A space for independent tabletop creators to showcase small-run original games

#tabletop Bluesky people!

We're organizing a small print run board game market, hosted at UKGE this year (think Night Market at PAX).

If you've got a small, original production that you'd like to get in front of people, we'd love for you to apply at market.bastiongames.co.uk

Please share!

It's great! Really pulls off the theme way more than I expected it to.

What services do you use PocketID with? I run it but found the process of setting up applications for everything and the configuration process for each separate app being such a burden I don't bother using it.

Great write up, keep meaning to write something similar on what I'm hosting, maybe this will give me the kick I needed.

Stephen Biesty's Incredible Cross-Sections books were some of my favourites as a child, and I've loved sharing them with my kids - so many fun details to discover.

Was confused why my eldest was demanding breakfast at 6:30 this morning until I realised what had happened.

It's official - `django.tasks` exists! Coming soon to @djangoproject.com 6.0. 585 days later, the first step (of many) in Django's background tasks journey is finally complete! 🥳

Brilliant work Jake, watching this project evolve from the sidelines has been amazing, can't wait to start using it!

Have you made a typo?
Have you exhausted all the evidence?
Have you re-examined your assumptions?

I think the text that appears to dissuade you from using hints in Case of the Golden Idol should also be presented before you’re allowed to reply to someone’s Bluesky post

Congrats Jake, well deserved!

It triggers a lot of anxiety having so many eyes on something I wrote, but I was not expecting people reaching out with kind words via email or Bsky/Mastodon. That little bit of extra effort has a big effect, definitely something I'll be keeping in mind next time I read or watch something I enjoy.

Kill your Feeds - Stop letting algorithms dictate how you think

In an attempt to blog more, I ended up writing about the damaging influence of algorithmic feeds, and how we can take back control. usher.dev/posts/2025-0...

Great game. Kuhhandel Master is worth picking up too - it adds a few new cards and auction mechanics that I think improve the game.

I'll have to add that to the list for when my kids are older, it can go in the same talk as how to change what device Bluetooth earphones are paired with, and when to use 2.4GHz Vs 5GHz WiFi. Although they'll probably be teaching me this stuff soon enough.

You're absolutely right - poor phrasing on my side here, perhaps I should have highlighted Wagtail as an alternative if you interested in working on/with a CMS where sustainability continues to be a priority.

It's so sad to see the efforts of this team be dismissed with so little care. If you want to keep building sustainable websites, it's time to give Wagtail a go. wagtail.org/sustainabili...

Tesco's Clubcard Unpacked is a thing that exists and has revealed that we purchased 39 packs of crumpets and 32 cucumbers last year. Just thought you'd like to know.

I've been informed that there's a specific socket where a Lightning cable is not available so I've hung up my everyday-wear cape in shame.

Yes my wife may have birthed and fed two kids, but I made sure that there are appropriate charging cables for all our devices in convenient places around the house, so credit where credit is due.
