lady wearing a shirt that has been badly edited to say "I joined BlueSky and all I got was blocked by the technical advisor who tried to cool his phone off in a pool and also this jpeg of a t-shirt"
Can we talk about how harassment and borderline stalking of trans women by gender critical activists has become entirely normalised?
Why can’t a trans woman do a bloody Parkrun without having her privacy violated and her data amassed on a website?!
Back on BlueSky 5 minutes and things are still on fire I see
I do think tech companies are underestimating the amount of
- new account fatigue
- new app fatigue
- useless upgrade fatigue
- terms of service fatigue
The First WORLD FENCING LEAGUE is happening April 25th!!! I'M GEEKING!!!
Japanese engineers developed this "Sword Tip Visualisation" tracking technology specifically for this event that will make it so much easier for the average person to see what's going on!
I MUST WATCH THIS ENTIRE TOURNAMENT
[alt text by NASA] The Moon, seen here backlit by the Sun during a solar eclipse on April 6, 2026, is photographed by one of the cameras on the Orion spacecraft’s solar array wings. Orion is visible in the foreground on the left. Earth is reflecting sunlight at the left edge of the Moon, which is slightly brighter than the rest of the disk. The bright spot visible just below the Moon’s bottom right edge is Saturn. Beyond that, the bright spot at the right edge of the image is Mars. Credit: NASA
Whoa 🤯
The Moon, in full eclipse, with the #Artemis II Orion spacecraft. Part of the Moon and spacecraft are lit by Earthshine, and both Saturn and Mars are visible to the lower right. Incredible. Details: images.nasa.gov/details/art0...
sketch- a space traveler gazes out the window of her ship from her bunk.
felt inspired by Artemis II to revisit this sketch and toss a little placeholder color on 🌙 hopefully I can turn this into a more finished piece next month 🌠

I'm not usually great at providing BL recommendations but I can say without hesitatation that this manga is incrediblyyyyy fun and aside from the Good Yaoi a great spin on isekai tropes

A mustachioed trans flag toting drag king artfully photoshopped into Turner's The Wreck Buoy. Text reads in tasteful Comic Sans: "from eugène delacroissant to you...come hang out with me and the buoys"

#artshare banner featuring two women, one in black and one in white, lying on their backs in opposite directions, their heads turned to face each other, fingers loosely playing with one another's hair, noses just barely not touching. They gaze at one another, infatuated. Text reads: "Sapphic Sunday Art Share" in white, and "Rules in comments" below in pink.
Happy February and welcome to the 2nd bi-monthly #SapphicSunday #artshare, a place to showcase sapphic creatives, sapphic creations, non-men characters, and non-men-centric creative works.
Bring that gay shit and female (or nonbinary) gaze!

🌈All media welcome!
🌈Rules in comments!
Six squared mirror in two column are placed on a tiled lime green wall, surrounded by plants, a monstera on the right and a small agave inside a pink pot on the left. On top of the mirrors, a partial signs read "drinks" suggesting these mirrors are on the wall of a bar. Reflected on the mirrors are two girl taking a selfie. We cannot see their faces as the girl on the right is kissing the other girl on the cheek and both are partially covered by the girl on the left phone as she's taking a selfie. They are on the seaside, wearing beach costumes and there is a beach umbrella, the sand and the see reflected in the bottom mirror. The girl on the right has blond wavy short hair and an undercut. Many piercings on her ear and she's wearing a collar. The girl on the left has long straight blue hair and sunglasses on top of her head.
Two girls holding hands and looking into each other eyes while smiling and holding the other hand up high, grasping both ends of a progressive pride flag over their heads. The girl on the right has long wavy purple hair , a teal crop top and pink pants. She has a pink chocker with a metal heart and a star pendant. She has a bisexual flag painted on her cheek. The girl on the left has short light blue hair with an undercut. She's wearing a dark purple sleeveless top with a pink harness on top of it. She has a dark purple choker and light purple shorts, with fishnets hose that reach her pierced belly button. She has a lesbian flag painted on her cheek. She has a star pendant. They are Tessa and Drew, the protagonists of my sapphic comic Starlit Lovers.
Two female characters facing each other as their foil swords are touching. They are both dressed in the same Victorian fencing uniform: black skirt, white collared shirt with a red heart on the left breast, puffy black sleeves. The girl on the left has brown skin and black hair. She is Egyptian and her name is Hala. The girl on the right has blonde hair and freckles. She's British and her name is Sheila. They are the protagonist of my sapphic murder mystery Midnight Heart.
Sheila and Hala from my sapphic queer murder mystery comic Midnight Heart. They are inside a boath, kissing at dusk, surrounded by vegetation. This image was inspired by Second Movement (2016) by Ragnar Kjartansson (a four-hour-long kiss staged on the Barbican lake, in which two women in Edwardian dress are frozen in an elegant embrace. I was lucky to see this art performance live back in 2016 so I wanted to draw my own version of it with my OCs).
Happy #SapphicSunday #artshare ❣️ I'm Lucia, queer comic artist and illustrator, creating comics with sapphic love stories as their core, loving Victorian times, punk and murder mysteries! 💖

And anything you make, even if you start with a STICK FIGURE, will be so much more beautiful and interesting than anything that AI can ever spit out in seconds at the expense of our environment, integrity and critical thinking.
And I truly think that's important to say because I don't agree with the way the webtoon "official" industry treats its writers but especially illustrators. I don't need your story if you're churning it out at a dizzying speed at the expense of your health. I'll wait months for a new page. It's FINE
Live life because that's also how the comic has evolved - I evolved and lived with it and suffused my experiences into it, experiences that meant that yeaaahh sometimes the comic DID have a long hiatus but the story was richer for those times away from my desk.
Yeah MAYBE do if you want start with a SLIGHTLY smaller project than Your Grand Epic Story like I did but controversial opinion: if you're not super passionate about it then you will not keep doing it. But also - take breaks. Take care of your health. Eat well, sleep well, socialise, touch grass.
So really, I do want to say, even if it does sound like a bit of a webcomics cliché...
Just start. Oh my GOD just start doing it. Do as little as you can, ignore all the online advice about "number of panels on webtoon" and "upload schedule" literally just do what you can, when you can.
I was so proud of the first pages and still am even if they are not the most "polished", and I'll be proud of the current pages in the future as I continue to improve. But that would have been basically impossible without that first leap.
Yes some people could say that you know, I could have started way earlier. But ADHD and living my life also got in the way as did my lack of self-confidence (oh hey, also a trait that Cassidy has!). But it's only by starting and challenging yourself that you improve.
2016-2019, intensely get back into fencing and obviously get even more inspired, properly start writing the script and decide to clumsily draw my first pages again and again.
And 2020 I FINALLY started drawing it all. AND posting it.
There's a lot to say about reaching 100 episodes and SIX! YEARS! of doing Girls' School of Knighthood but the main thing I want to say right now is...
I came up with Cassidy in 2013.
Fleshed out GSoK 2014-2016. Tinkered with it for YEARS waiting to be "good enough" at comics to start.
