Nontrivial amount of this intrayear is likely LGES ramping for R2 launch.
Sadly Trade Adjustment Assistance was pretty well-studied I think. In fairness to TAA, the places affected tended to be relatively narrow suburban industrial markets with high rates of homeownership so there was a fair bit of lock-in
I think they change quantization depending on time of day. Also new default effort is medium, while max effort sometimes has a paperclip maximizing effect.
FWIW WMT IR says they have done a lot of work on this esp wrt oil price and yeah...we basically are a systematic vol shop as a country.
But George I just bought my third car and now I feel broke.
I’ve seen enough. God is 1) real 2) nonbinary 3) primarily motivated by a deep hatred of JD Vance
The thing about blockading Hormuz is that it is the logical conventional escalation option vs. running a massive bombing campaign or attempting amphibious invasions, to the point where I’m surprised they didn’t do it first week of March.
$AAPL great take on the new MacBook Neo, and how PC makers ignore it at their peril
ie 8GB RAM is zippier on this machine running MacOS (not iPadOS) so they can keep costs down
Thanks I hate it.
2006 - current chart of 1y inflation swaps and 1y breakeven inflation
Since 1y BEI @ 5% chart is doing the rounds, a not of caution: short-term TIPS are *extremely* illiquid. To price breakeven inflation you match nominal UST with TIPS, which gives you an inflation "price". But if one leg of that is super illiquid....well you got some issues.
Glad to see @conorsen.bsky.social is still hustling.
They want the Roosevelt coalition without understanding that's impossible to recreate under the current political economy of the USA.

ABS guy has feelings on corp credit, more news at 11. Nevermind that the most atrocious underwriting is in his sector.
Hey whoa let's not get too crazy here. Those are MY interests!
I get the sense they're priced to generate some kind of contribution margin but idk what it is
I get the sense that with autonomy and connectivity they can get there. I think the degree of vertical integration will help a lot.
This is hardly the primary issue, but I guess Khamenei isn't going to respond to my Twitter DMs asking if he liked anime.
FWIW I am buying one.
some of the details have been leaked. Pricing and packaging looks extremely compelling for dual motor models (which I imagine 110% of likely Rivian buyers and 50% of all EV buyers would take).
Honestly in an italy themed setting this would be great
This is a great idea for a poll.
On the other hand not sure involvement in kids' lives is super great in context
It's shocking that we have to keep learning that people just want (other) people to be relatively polite and act fuckin normal
I think the idea is a lot of single rack scale 1 shots that just go. It would probably just be inference which takes a lot of the cost out but it's still very material.
Given the whole truthiness challenge with that ecosystem I used records of external prices. I am willing to believe $750/kg though note that doesn't change a ton (rimshot)
