We had an elderly Aussie when the Cat Distribution System presented us with a tuxedo kitten the night our tractor broke down on a back road. The kitten Adored the Aussie right. Took the old pup a week or so, but they became best friends.

Our local library (that is desperately trying to raise $ to rehab a much needed building they were donated) put on "To Kill a Mockingbird" at our local theater. Free. Small drink and popcorn $5. Had read the book, never seen the movie. Priceless. They weren't actively asking $, but I have anyway.

Small kindnesses are kindnesses none-the-less. Brought in bags while grocery shopping. Woman behind me in checkout was gently scolding her hubs over the fact there were not "just 5 items" and they would have to buy a bag. Problem solved, I didn't need all mine!
