A lot riding on a strong performance from the two title contenders. Missing having any CFC players to root for but Palmer can only happen on a WC given team structure once the fixtures turn back to green (obviously Burnley would have been a good one week punt on someone).
FPL GW 26 progress, TC Gabriel means a lot to play for in the remaining two fixtures.

Been a while, lots going on professionally so #FPL has taken a backseat. Ranking outside 1m hoping to turn things around during the festive period and make a push for top 100k at the end. Season is not even halfway done so still ample time to make a run (see last season).

FPL GW 7
Had to strengthen DEF and get something from upcoming Arsenal games. Don't love the double LIV against CFC as a Chelsea fan but WC to change 4/5 isn't worth it. I save chips again for a rainy day. Here's hoping JP plays and has a barnstormer.
FPL GW 6
No transfers, no chips; nothing wagered, hopefully nothing lost here. Any rank between 250-500k will be acceptable after this week. For those who WC or TC I hope you the best but it wasn't the week for me to focus on FPL given work commitments.
Easy Haaland, Semenyo, Reijnders. It's the next eight where creating value becomes much more challenging. My issue is I own the main three so does WC make any sense, better to use the TC right?
FPL GW 5 final score
100% convinced I had switched Sanchez for Dubravka in final team (guess I forgot to save), 7 points lost due to execution. That said, the main decision was net 11 (Senesi to Reinaldo) so can't complain. In a week where people played chips a small green arrow felt likely, thrilled to do better.
Week 5 FPL.
In a week where I assume and hope little will happen, this is about the best I could hope for. Let's see by the end of the week how things pan out but I expect a green arrow and some big decisions for GW6.
GW4 final results
Came down to the final game, given 3rd stoppage time Salah bail-out I was worried about Haaland, but damn did he come through. 10% through the season 6 digit rank, this time last season I was bouncing between 3-5 million. Next improvement is to pick the right 4 million DEF each week.
GW3 FH team FPL
Well it's a free hit special targeting two promoted teams and the pitiful hammers. Gives me an international break to decide what to do with Palmer and three free transfers. FPL Towers gets credit, the extra chips coming in handy and adds more options to the game.
Seems likely, unless somehow we all hold and his price doesn't drop. Not looking forward to ripping up my team structure and also worried about getting the pricing/value decisions wrong. Weird start to the season with the three heavies all suspect after 2 weeks.

Top mini-league but drop in overall rank. Tough when your main diff (105%) Haaland blanked in the 2nd game of week. Most of rank is down to JP and amazing CFC result. Main Q is Palmer, if I am sure he's out there are three transfers that would net at least .3 team value. Anyone have intel?

Palmer could become an issue soon, I'm traveling so I haven't seen any news about the benching, I'm a little surprised there hasn't been more movement on price. Now that I have the two FTs I need to think where I can upgrade if I take him out. Does anyone have a good Palmer out plan?

Maybe should have followed the BB trend (but then again I wouldn't have gone so cheap on the bench); anyway a solid foundation to start the season. Don't think I need to transfer anyone unless I want to build team value (which I haven't focused on in the past). Any advice?

Guess it's time to restart the engine, a little more than a week to go. Went big in MID and took some risk with FW and DEF as a result. But if you can have a midfield trio who can all be top scorers in any given week, plus a cyborg who always starts the season hot, what could go wrong? Thoughts?

FPL 24/25 GW38 and season final result
Last few weeks felt like a chore; there's a point where you stop doing what got you the ranking rises and try to predict crowd moves to preserve rank. This will be my second best rank but likely best % of total players (given game has grown). Hope to recover from burnout by start new season.
I win mini-league but come in 45k it will still be a great season, my mini-league is just competitive enough that you have to have a perfect season to win (I won twice in 10 years, winner is usually top 50k rank). Thanks for perspective, I should ultimately be very happy with where I have got to.
FPL team GW 37
Small confession, the closer I've gotten to a season record the less fun the whole enterprise has felt. Anyway two weeks left, I'm leading the mini-league but margin has shrunk to 30 points. Saving 2 FT and TC for final game of the season. 25k is still possible more than that out of reach.
BB last week when I should have this week given I didn't TC. Hope for one more DGW where there is a clear TC worth having held, otherwise I evny the Haaland people who did it early in the season. I think sub-20k rank is now the goal for the end of the season, still would be a record for me.

GW 32 BB FPL
Add my team to BBers who pulled the trigger but don't feel confident in the outcome (only GK is clearly starting). I did get to field the entertaining 5-2-3 which, given the lack of clean sheets this season, is totally impractical. Season sub-10k is still alive but less certain than ever.

I would like to jump on this bandwagon, I have 3 options, none are obviously better: TC 32 (Isak) + BB 33, BB 32 + TC 33 (Saka), or 32 nothing + TC 33 and hope I can cobble together a good BB for 35/36. The plan was BB 32 when Elanga was flying but now ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ ...
GW 31 with the WC
Went with the most template of WC so the game will be won in the chip strategy and having saved a handful of free transfers to handle the inevitable injuries. Still want to achieve a sub-10k final rank.
GW 30 FPL
Didn't WC and that left Elanga in the team, still many threats to avoid but at least got a haul with my big differential. I expect a 15-20k ranking after this GW with the WC 31 looming large on how the rest of the season plays out. Saka has to be in it with Salah/Isak as also essential, right?
