I feel like this whole thing is a No True Scotsman trap for the definition of “mom game”. Death Strandy is a mom game, yes even tho NormyReed isn’t nursing a bb. Stardew Valley is a mom game. Resident Evil 8 isn’t a mom game even tho it lets you interrogate your relationship with motherhood.

Like, I know that saying “Wordle is a mom game” is meant to be flip here, but saying that moms don’t get the same satisfaction of being an enormous fight guy or a hot sword twink is minimizing in the other direction.

The replies to this are getting a little cringe, even if the intentions are pointing out how much invisible labor moms do.

when you are making a tool, workflow or pipeline, making it really really easy to do the right thing is roughly 10000x more important than making it possible to do complex things. Always fight to keep it easy to do the right thing as people ask for features to do more things
