🎶 Baby, where the hell is our goalie? Why’s he letting those pucks in, like he’s a sieve sieve sieve? Oh oh baby - where the hell is our defense? They’re down at the wrong end … 🎶 #Oilers #NHLplayoffs

It’s such a stunningly bad choice that it’s almost satirical. Except that it’s not.

I can only assume he’s preparing for a post-politics career.

It’s so embarrassing, really. This is some straight up fanboy shit.

Maybe it’s just me, but I don’t think showing up as a surprise guest at a UFC event just days after Trump did the same will do much to quell the “CanCon Trump” accusations.

Who is advising this man to double-down on pandering to the 18 - 35 male Maple MAGA base?

Does Pierre know he lost, yet?

No one told me 2026 would be the year the Pope started sounding like The Godfather 😂

You can take the good Catholic boy out of Chicago, but you can’t take Chicago out of this pope.

Oh, I know. I had a friend who … uhm … “met” a very well known, VERY married Oiler back in the day. He “met” a lot of local women.

I was very actively lurking the Oilers Nation message boards back in those days, and I recall the rumour about one affair specifically, but the woman suspected of being involved with him was very clear it wasn’t true, and threatened to sue over it.

The only person I have sympathy for in all of this is his wife. The absolute shit he put her through - not just with his drunken idiot decision but how she ended up getting all the blame when he was traded - is disgusting. And he didn’t defend her. What an asshole.

‘I wish I said no’: Ex-Oilers GM Kevin Lowe responds to Pronger’s contract regret
Few people had a closer seat to Chris Pronger’s tenure with the Edmonton Oilers than Kevin Lowe. As the general manager who acquired the hulking defenceman from the St. Louis Blues on Aug. 3, 2005, only to trade him 11 months later to the Anaheim Ducks, he was front and centre for all of the…

20 years later, Chris Pronger is finally talking about the drunken mistake that landed him in Edmonton with the #Oilers, and former Oilers GM Kevin Lowe has a few things to say about it.

This is 😳

The NDP only managed to bring their overall vote share up by 1.5%, and are still down markedly in all 3 of those ridings from their previous vote shares in elections between 2015 & 2021.

They didn’t even manage to recoup the voters they lost to the CPC & LPC in the ‘25 election.

Like, this isn’t even a serious political party anymore. This is high school junior conservative club members with egos that outsize their IQs & life experience by MILES.

It’s become fricken embarrassing. They are an embarrassment.

“Stupid is smart cuz smart is stupid derp derp derp”.

1 week ago 2 0 0 0

A lot at play here beyond “Carney not so smart”.

There’s anti-intellectualism. There’s the “asshole jr high boys pick on the smart kid” aspect. There’s the Alberta elects any moron with a CPC sticker on their ass aspect. There’s the CPC benches void of smarts aspect. There’s anti-education …

Every. Damn. Time.

It’s like the CPC packed their benches with idiots on purpose.

Like, I’m almost embarrassed for them. How desperate are they that THIS is what they are attempting to attack Carney on; his education and experience.

But then I remember that their desperation is delicious and my sympathy evaporates.

So to recap, an insurance company file boy, & the never held a real job paperboy (who took 8 yrs to complete his undergrad), are claiming the Harvard & Oxford educated, twice central banker with a PhD knows less about economics than they do.

Be so for real, Bruhs. Mad pathetic.

omg the man is a private citizen off living his life

Like why are conservatives STILL obsessed with this man?

At least Trudeau had enough sense to resign when he was forced to read the writing on the wall.

He’s ignored every statement up to this point. I don’t know how much of a bigger statement Canadians could give him beyond kicking him out of his seat, & denying him access to the PMO.

He’s not getting the message, and his caucus is too spineless to force him to get it.

Carney & Gladu ( in her reasons for crossing), have been very open about what’s been happening behind the scenes with the CPC playing bullshit obstructionist games in committee. That slows everything down.

A hung parliament during geopolitical upheaval benefits no one when the opp is obstructing.

Problem is that Poilievre has moved the party so far to the right that the Liberals have now effectively moved into the red Tory space of the political spectrum.

That makes it extremely difficult for the CPC to move back to centre right, cuz that space is occupied.

Pierre really effed the CPC.

Gawd what a ridiculous loser this man is.

In the meanwhile, they play nothing but obstructionist games in committee, hide behind curtains in the House, and act like toddlers on speed during QP.

This is what Poilievre’s “leadership” has done to the CPC. They’re just CanCon GOP now.

The CPC finished these by-elections down nearly 14% in over all vote share from the 2025 election.

Libs increased their vote share by 4.3%, NDP saw a minor increase of 1.5%

No CPC candidate finished with more than 20% of the vote.

The proverbial knives will be out for Poilievre.

The leadership vote was entirely engineered, tho. Handpicked delegates, could only vote in person, had to pay $1000 for the honour of voting in person, travel to Calgary to vote …

His team did everything they could to guarantee he got high approval numbers. It was engineered.

The loyalists on his benches seem reticent to push him out, at this point. Who knows. I think he could lose 3 more MPs and still fight to stay.

The CPC refuses to accept that while he may be party popular, he’s poison outside of the party.

He will never be PM. They won’t ever accept that.

A clean sweep.

A majority with a couple spares. Outstanding results for the LPC this being.
