The NDP only managed to bring their overall vote share up by 1.5%, and are still down markedly in all 3 of those ridings from their previous vote shares in elections between 2015 & 2021.

Carney & Gladu ( in her reasons for crossing), have been very open about what’s been happening behind the scenes with the CPC playing bullshit obstructionist games in committee. That slows everything down.
A hung parliament during geopolitical upheaval benefits no one when the opp is obstructing.
Problem is that Poilievre has moved the party so far to the right that the Liberals have now effectively moved into the red Tory space of the political spectrum.
That makes it extremely difficult for the CPC to move back to centre right, cuz that space is occupied.

This is what Poilievre’s “leadership” has done to the CPC. They’re just CanCon GOP now.
The CPC finished these by-elections down nearly 14% in over all vote share from the 2025 election.
Libs increased their vote share by 4.3%, NDP saw a minor increase of 1.5%
No CPC candidate finished with more than 20% of the vote.
The proverbial knives will be out for Poilievre.

The CPC refuses to accept that while he may be party popular, he’s poison outside of the party.
