Somewhere out there, a game you’ve never heard of just hit a million sales.
Also somewhere out there, a game you’ve never heard of never breaks 100 sales

Opposite of Eraserhead is Pencilbutt, I think
Showing CrossFit who's boss! (I've always wanted to do it but always get stuck just walkin haha)
Yeah, 6 had a lot of the framework 7 used, though I think by 8 people were tired of the sci fi
Yup, that’s exactly how I remember it too
And then 10 ended up becoming my favorite because it felt like a huge leap + very concise
I remember at the time I didn't have a whole lot of interest in playing for that exact reason- visually (to me, a teen at the time) it felt like a step back (even though I've absolutely changed my tone lol I love the visuals), but I was like "Ahhh but it reminds me of Final Fantasy 2"
I very distinctly remember when this game came out that people were happy it was going back to the roots, but people were dogging on the art style compared to 7 and 8 😅
I don't recall a single argument against the setting, but I do remember people complaining that 7 and 8 were no longer fantasy.
;-;
How many times will the AI blow up in their faces until they learn that maybe they shouldn't use the AI
It’s so good. Genuinely the best game ever made for many reasons
Ending title for Chrono Trigger on DS
How is this game real... So many varied stories, characters with heart, and a fun battle system with a variety of ways to express yourself with. AND 13 different endings??? This is one of the GREATEST time travel pieces of media ever made!!
Isn’t tomodachi a switch 1 game?
Rewatch complete of one of the biggest surprises of the past few years. Top to bottom an amazing cast with Pine bringing the charm and Rodriguez bringing the heart in one of my favorite performances from her. Filled with humor, fantasy and unexpectedly great stylized action.
(Some of the other games with Derelict in their title and a space person with a big visor are pretty neat though!)
I feel like when I made a game called Derelict with a generic space person with a big visor for the player to control I didn't expect there to be a bunch of games called Derelict to come out with the same kind of protagonist lol
Yeaaah that's how I was feeling. I think the show is ready to end haha
I just want to believe audiences aren't that stupid and can actually handle depth behind the talking points instead of a random character mentioning candidly that they ended DEI and called Elon Musk lol
They could be a lot more clever with it, but the way it's presented now is just corporate key dangling. It's exactly like when Big Bang Theory says "The fate of Doctor Who’s TARDIS will be decided by a Game of Thrones inspired deathmatch on the battlefield of ThunderCats versus Transformers"
I enjoy The Boys, but something that bugs me lately is that for the past few seasons they handle political talking points the same way The Big Bang Theory handles "nerdy" references. It will shotgun blast a lot of talking points so people point and say "I know that one!", vs being smart about it.
The existence of "love letters" in media implies hate letters also exist. I want to play a game that's a hate letter to a genre maybe (maybe not, but I'm curious)
Told you!
A politician can ruin his entire career when he says "YEAH!" weirdly, but if trump doesn't lose his base because of this that's absolutely insanity.
I don't usually like posting political stuff, but it is absolutely bizarre to me that the religious right defend a president who is absolutely okay with depicting himself as jesus, but they'll crucify any other president over some half baked conspiracy theories
It’s the BotW/TotK effect- the controls are great but you need to get used to them again or they suuuuuck
None of this is Castlevania to me, and not even in the way SotN wasn’t Castlevania to people when it came out haha
I really don't think this is a crazy take, because you see perceptions change very quickly when they're either annoyed with seeing people calling everything AI, or making everything look like AI (YouTube did this with Shorts), or getting everyone not knowing the difference.
See what I mean? They're normalizing calling everything AI
