I’ve put a lot of maintenance time into the Horizon to get it to the point I can start tuning it. I decided to do something fun and install the hood vents I had from a turbo Lebaron convertible. The positions were dictated by the hood bracing. And yes the vents are functional.

A dj plays the rounds songs and you cross them off like a bingo number. You’re also encouraged to sing along and use your phone if needed. It’s a fun group event.

The steering is tight and the Chrysler torque steer is almost non-existence.

The rear of these cars is amazingly light. It kept begging to lead lol. I was able to eke out 65mph on the non-plowed side of the highway for 10+ miles. I will be installing some temp aero on the car this weekend…

Im still cleaning the fuel system and have replaced the faulty map sensor. The shock and struts are soft but still working as designed. These will be changed soon.

Ok, basics out of the way. The tires have decent lateral grip and decent braking traction.

The Horizon got its first run at speed in snow this morning on my way to work. I have been thinking about it and have some thoughts. First off the tires on the car are less than a year old with decent tread for 13” mini wheels. The car is still having part throttle drivability issues 🧵

Hahahahahaha, no one will ever know. Chrysler would pre-badge parts and send them down the line. It wasn’t that uncommon to have Omni on the hood and Horizon on the hatch. It’s licensed as a Horizon but I only call them Omni’s.

My tires arrived for my Rally build Omni. The tread is stupid, they are 8 ply tires and the tread is half a quarter deep!
