This sounds like the future of information organization. Really cool idea.

Join us next week in Berlin! Lots to catch up on and there will be stickers from #AtmospereConf
RSVP here atmo.rsvp/p/atproto.be...
Also it's 28th according to signal chat. Let's resolve this there before we post about it via @atproto.berlin.
Fixed and added location
SpaceX just offered to either buy Cursor for $60 billion or pay $10 billion to keep working with it. Cursor is an AI coding tool developers love. SpaceX is Elon Musk's rocket company that quietly became his AI empire. Here's what's actually happening.
There were 122 people “signed up” for @atproto.science but we know many other #AtmosphereConf attendees dropped into sessions on Friday.
Please give feedback to the team in the linked survey!
(We’ll have a whole conference survey out soon!)
If you attended #ATScience last month (either in person or remotely) we’d love to hear from you about your experience so we can better shape future events and the ATScience community more broadly. The survey takes about 3 minutes.
Every voice is meaningful!
Thanks 🙏

Yes, we started working on something at #AtmosphereConf 🌀 and as part of @atproto.science 🧪 Shared the slidedeck and the main pillars here:

There will most probably be several #ATScience workstreams to dive into the details.
I was at a funeral today, and people more or less spontaneously took the floor to say a few words about what the deceased had meant to them, how they’d met, and so on. No liturgical clichés, no rambling. Just sincere, personal tributes. It was a peaceful and pleasant experience.
Cool, will tell my kids about this.
Decentralized (or dezentralizable) doesn't mean in can't be attacked. Kudos to the bsky team and I wish the AI and otherwise polarizing comments would stop. My vision: A plurality off heavily blocking and enclosed but technically interoperable niche communities.☔ Policy decoupled from technology. 🌀
The single best thing you could do to make atproto accessible to the general public is sell really good physical PDSses
Thank you @laurenshof.online for raising the topic: lack of sustainable funding for the Commons. The small grants you propose are useful. To sustain critical infrastructure we need to discuss another strategy. And thank you Emilia @thisismissem.social for your hard work on FIRES.
The sunk-cost dilemma, coupled with a lack of impetus and stagnant decision-making processes. My takeaway: It's not fun or advisable to work for the Commons as a dev. It's a shame with all the skills and enthusiasm. 🇪🇺 🇩🇪
This is the logo you all have to use btw
Working hard on putting Chatto Cloud 100% on EU infrastructure -- not just running in EU datacenters, but operated and owned by EU companies.
It's... a challenge. But the needle won't move by itself.
Legal compliance is a major factor too. Going through that process for a project just now. It's complecated even just for traditional hosting depending on your customer. Then add LLM inference to that. 🤯
We should chat.
I love this, AI as diagnosis rather than solution. Mentioned this at a lab meeting and it was called a philosophical thought. I am a trained engineer and it puzzles me and I hope to find pointers in science & technology studies (STS). @sabinebarthold.bsky.social Humanities, help!
My process is to share raw text with humans initially and add agentic tools to structure, format and rephrase later when the document gets closer to formal, sometimes buerocratic submission pipelines designed for automation and filtering.
"No AI training on your work" is most important. Using AI in playful and artistic ways should not be banned. And labeling it makes it transparent.
For moodle and LMS (learning management systems, wtf) there are pretty good standards for the learning / course materials that could be innovated on in personal frontends.
What about hydrate and *transform* by panproto? This would add data transform in any supported schema to each query. @aaronstevenwhite.io

@naviarrecords.bsky.social now streaming live from Haiku Fest Poznan.

Can relate to this. People know their thing.
Loving this too and wish we can do this for @Haiku.garden @naviarrecords.bsky.social would you be interested to try this to share music from the quiet music making sessions?
Thank you again for bringing on artist communities at AtConf. Distribution and creation can and should be seen as entangled mini publics. My dream is to connect all creativity at one @atmospheric.computer 🌀
We can just make art!
