Not quite at “newsletter” level yet, but I’ll post some other stuff on there. I’ll talk a bit about writing processes and invite some other writers on from time to time, an artist or two if I can shake that tree.

I’d definitely have to disagree. While there is some uniformity here and there, there are plenty of indie comics out there with unbelievably inventive art styles, and some “big two” comics like Absolute Martian Manhunter are incredible.
I now have a Tumblr because it’s still 2010 and nobody told me.

This issue is from 1976. It’s actually wild to think how good the art was back then.
Modern art is great in a lot of ways, but this is the kind of stuff that laid the brickwork.

Late post but my review of the 2026 Uncanny X-Men Annual went live today.
The story would have received a higher rating, especially given how likable the characters were, if it wasn’t being held back by a few things I go over.
