Day 109
It is Sunday. A day for peace, quiet and relaxation. Time to sit in silence, pause and reflect, time to read, time to appreciate the garden.
It really was. I'll make it again π

Penguin Classics paperback edition of Julian of Norwich: Revelations of Divine Love
Next book.
What an interesting book, looking at crafts that have diminished but still continue in small pockets - dry stone walling, thatching, bell making, compering, making fish baskets of rush, carving/lettering, watxhmaking and many more. So many skills it takes years to learn and perfect. Quite calming.
A photo of an antique postbox, coloured green, with a horse image on the front. The flap covering the slot is gold-coloured, and says 'Letters.'
I've no idea how old this postbox is, but just imagine all the mail that's been put inside. Not forgetting all the election leaflets and 'we tried to deliver your parcel' notifications.

You can listen to the full lecture by Professor Baroness Kathy Willis, a biologist, researcher and author, plus post-lecture questions posed by Dr Xand van Tulleken, on Times Radio at 7pm tonight: buff.ly/265AT8D
A person walks along an old railway viaduct that's been transformed into a nature haven. We see yellow and white tulips in bloom and green shrubs in planters.
Nature is healing.
But how and why does spending time in nature improve our health?
The health-giving power of nature was the focus of the fourth Octavia Hill lecture, held in collaboration with Times Radio.
Have a wonderful time xx
