How I'm feeling all week.

The best thing to me about Pokemon Champions is seeing a ton of people get into VGC for the first time and then immediately realize how funny VGC memes are. Genuinely warms my heart.

By the way, the funniest thing about this to me is that this isn't even the first time that Pokemon has made changes to a game to prevent a Pokemon from being transgender. 😭

Crazy how the first real update to Pokemon Champions has a specific patch note for detransitioning Galade. 😭

My expectation is regular updates. I don't foresee any sort of paid DLC that isn't just supplemental to the existing microtransactions. It'll just be waves of content like any live service game methinks.

The best way I can put it, is that how I feel about Champions is kinda like how people pretended to feel about ZA when it came out.

Having conversations about video games tends to be a little hard for me. I would say most of the time I have opinions that differ from what would be considered the majority. And if I express those thoughts, people reactionarily tell me about that I "didn't play" the games.

I mean how support player play against Angela and what they say about it in match chat. 🤐

I know it's sorta the popular thing to hate on Support players in Marvel Rivals, but being an Angela player I feel I'm far more justified in this feeling. You get to see in real time how none of these people have any situational awareness or accountability. 😭

If you have the surface level opinion of "sexy = bad", then you aren't meaningfully engaging in the conversation. It's good to be aware of how it can possibly normalize the objectification of certain body types, but refusing to acknowledge any value outside of that, is a problem.

Conversations around "sexy" content in video games nowadays is so incredibly reductive and it gets on my nerves.

Many people refuse to engage with nuance of presentation of certain aesthetics for the sake of having a "palatable" opinion. Even more so when chastising others.
