Yeah but characters aren’t people. I don’t think Cass *has to be* a lesbian but I think it’s silly to argue that she shouldn’t be just bc she fits a stereotype. Character design, looks & fashion all communicate & a lot of lesbians picked up on signals that would typically communicate queerness irl

Not necessarily. A lot of lesbians (& queer people in general) are “stereotypical” and it’s often even a deliberate choice to present that way. And it’s quite rare to see butch lesbian characters not treated as a joke.

I still got this with my Mercar Rook who never once flirted with Lucanis. Pretty much immediately after the café scene (and completing slow poison if that had anything to do with it).

I had by far my most favorite roleplaying moment during the landsmeet when my warden recruited loghain & told Alistair to "just leave" in anger after he threw his tantrum. They were friends the entire game but had such different views on duncan & what it means to be a warden.
