maybe exploration based 3d platformers aren't your thing? a lot of these kinda games are made with the idea you can break them by understanding the movement well. ik u talk about the galaxy games a lot and those are your preferred 3d marios (though those games can also be broken with good movement)

i mean i guess so yeah, can't really argue against that. i don't personally have a problem with it cause i just usually play all levels anyways (cause im weird) but i can get why you would have that position

then don't use the advance movement? dkb and smo never forces you to cap jump or chunk cancel at any point within the games, just use whatever standard movement you want and engage with the parts you like

Smbw is a literal straight line for the first half and then lets you do the last three worlds in whatever order you want (unless you mean the overworld map which is basically the exact same as 3D World)
