I get it; we’re from two very different viewpoints and that’s okay! My only care is if someone is enjoying a game I worked on, however they want that to be. Some of the most fun I’ve had is definitely doing the “wrong” thing, but that’s just me!
I personally don’t disagree with the ketchup rule lol. Shit’s gross except on fries. I dunno, I get the artistry behind all things (I’m also a musician), but at what point when are you too uptight about how something SHOULD be consumed? Seems miserable to always worry about how your art is handled.
Yes. Because I dislike when a dev tells someone how they should enjoy a game. Don’t gatekeep; let players play how they want. I’ll also die on the hill that it’s okay to have a story/easy mode.
