Going forward with new projects I will put the yarn although I don’t work from a pattern. I usually just figure out all the math and measurements on my iPad as was the case with this top. Thank you for the advice. 🤩

I am currently making a poncho/swancho styled garment. If you are new to knitting lace pattern stitches you will always want to a much larger swatch than the standard 4”. I think a 12” square plus edge stitches is far more appropriate to get a true gauge for a project.
