Literally every single second of air travel is profoundly unpleasant. This is like saying saying "What exactly are your big plans for your extra 45 minutes" to someone who got held up at the dentist or finding some document necessary to file their taxes. It's not the end of the world, it just SUCKS

Spencer Hall's beautiful face below a thank you for donating $102.65
I decided to drop a $100+processing fees, but did leave in the dedication that it's rounded up from $68.62 to honor a sub-.500 team giving the world a Danny Hurley meltdown.
Recall the Supreme Court held there was a constitutional right to stand on a public sidewalk and scream homophobic rants at a soldier's funeral as long as you're a bunch of right-wing religious freaks, but apparently it's a crime to stand on a public sidewalk and smirk while Black.
NBC commentator talking while standing on the concourse in Philadelphia. On the far right. a large male Phillies fan has his back to the camera. The Phillies jersey he is wearing has the name "Crankin Hog" and the number 69 on the back
"Please, my FATHER is Mr. Hog. You can call me-"
I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.
So it turns out that Ozempic gives you worse bone density problems than puberty blockers (the only known side effect of them).
I wonder why one is banned, and the other is pushed on teenagers?
We have an apparent cure for most people with pancreatic cancer—a profoundly swift, deadly cancer—and the position of the U.S. government is that it should be banned. This is real fall-of-empire stuff.
"Pancreatic cancer mRNA vaccine shows lasting results in an early trial: Scientists caution that more research is needed, but nearly all of the patients who responded to the personalized vaccine are still alive six years later."
the president of the united states is personally looting the treasury to the tune of literally billions of dollars and that he is not being immediately removed from office and tried for high crimes against this country is a devastating indictment of every part of our political system
I never want to be a killjoy so I won't get in the way of people dancing in the streets when he drops dead but I think one reason everyone is so thirsty for it is we tacitly understand that to be the only consequence he'll ever face. Which sucks! There should be way more consequences
because CD players, walkmans, and VCRs usually fucking worked and did precisely what was asked of them without relogging in and syncing and re-entering passwords and getting confirmation codes and doing 2FA with out TV and phone and clicking a fake "remember me" box that's fucking why
that is a lot of it! also they weren't constantly redirecting us to do something different and less pleasurable
Ah, so someone told him about indulgences
No, the thing that has me *terrified* about AI is that when it craters and takes the economy with it, that we will respond the same way we have during every financial crisis of the 21st century: with austerity, and austerity breeds *fascism*.

I think we spent a long time dunking on Boomers because they inherited the easiest economy ever and the long line of horrible politicians they've sicked on us, but lead-poisoned GenX has truly lowered the bar across all aspects of our society and culture.
I remember breaking a GenX friend's brain when I pointed out that "his generation's music" was largely written and performed by Baby Boomers (Springsteen, Bowie, etc.) and "my generation's" far inferior music was all written and performed by GenXers (Creed, Nickelback, etc.)
All I’m saying is that U.S. Catholic leaders have told Dems FOR DECADES that they may not call themselves “Catholic” if they’re a public figure who disagrees with church on key teachings.
The idea being that if you’re prominent & Catholic, you have a special responsibility to represent. 🧵
NGL, there's an element of "I've forgotten more than you'll ever know about this shit" whenever these clowns try to reference an obscure text. This stuff was boring when I was trying to believe it.
It's as though even in the midst of this hell world, there is a viable business model in fixing formerly nice things that PE and big tech enshitified.
I mean, it'd actually have a use case in that instance. A niche, Philly-based one, but still.
kinda funny how Republican voters are inarguably happier when a Dem is president. they don’t actually want to be in charge of shit, they want to roll coal and whip themselves into a frenzy over wholly imaginary liberal tyranny. now they’ve caught the car and it fuckin sucks
“There is nothing that can be done about the millions of preventable deaths resulting from the closure of USAID until 2029” is neither scientifically true nor politically true. It is a policy choice, and the values it reflects are why USAID could be cut down so easily in the first place
It’s infuriating when a woman comes forward about a man raping her in his hotel room after drinking and the response is “Why would she go to his room?” “Why would she drink with him?” This is Mike Pence logic. Women should be allowed to hang out with men without expecting they will be raped.
He didn’t even pick a believable lie and these guys are still like “I truly believe in my heart that he thinks the Hamburgler looks like this”
the NCAA uploaded raw footage of the UConn buzzer-beater from every camera CBS had in the building to youtube (will drop in the replies) and the best part has to be this hard pan to Dan Hurley's mom yelling HOLY FUCKING SHIT followed by a synchronized simultaneous HOLY SHIT by both Hurley parents
OK listen I understand most of us are not religious but we can agree that Trump is exhibiting all the signs of being the Antichrist, right?
