To keep the metaphor going, I might suggest there isn’t an other side to this stupid void, but rather an invisible wall of stupid we’ll never break through, and to go through to the future, we just need to aim somewhere else in a couple years.

People expecting any sense of normalcy in the Chump II Era must guard themselves; lest they become Chumps themselves
Profit off the stupid if you can, but stupid is the norm, and don't expect otherwise.
Ricketts I don’t think is relevant to this committee.
Just how she looked glowingly at Sen. Britt for her question. Snidely Whiplash vibes. I’ve only ever seen her once before
These are my thoughts regarding Warsh
He’s all but certainly going to cut rates as inflation is rising, because he won’t consider it to be an addressable inflation, just a price increase. We’ll be hit with the consequences.
Just position yourself for it.
Lummis is …not easy to look at in this hearing
CC and chill, still taking some profits
*And that raising the price level is somehow different than inflation.
I appreciate @smith.senate.gov question to Kevin Warsh, asking if price increases that don’t come explicitly from Fed policy, such as climate change pushing up home insurance rates. His answers give the impression that he believes the Fed can control all inflation*.
He is saying he will be independent, in less direct ways, in answers to other questions. I'm asking if it's wise, given that he needs majority support, to put it this directly.
I don't disagree on its face, but is it his job today to say yes here?
I’m not trying to make enemies. I apologize if any of you are being hit by the torrent of quotes. It’s ridiculous.
If liberals wish to forge an alliance of convenience with a socialist and apologist for jihadist violence, they will be betraying the very values they profess to uphold.
We should stop trying to stop republicans from destroying the global economy
We should let the people who vote for them see the consequences of their vote
Do you manually type this all out the second time?
21 quotes and still going man
So expensive
I mostly bet against volatility, not history.
But I’d wager that this war doesn’t actually last more than a year, and once the Strait is closed and the US is gone, the bad times will start coming because Chump’s credibility, such as it exists, will be gone.
More debt we're incurring because of the war. First financial debt, now vibes debt (we'll be paying this back later in the year)
Yeah, the Summer Headlines are coming early this year
Kevin Warsh is set to tell the Senate at his hearing Tuesday that "Fed independence is largely up to the Fed" and that inflation is the Fed's responsibility "without excuse or equivocation" www.wsj.com/livecoverage...
If they had good information to share, they’d be sharing it.
Their inflation rate fell by 50% this past year? After years of persistently high inflation, worse than the worst US inflation in 2022-23, it’s now collapsing. Tells me that spending has collapsed, not prices.
It’s beautiful to see. I haven’t seen figures on their wealth fund or other reserves in a while, have to think it’s approaching dangerously low levels.
On my spreadsheet where I track this, I’m down 9 pounds.
On the scale, I’m up 0.4.
I’ve been tracking CICO since Halloween and have achieved ~250 kcal deficit/day in that span
However my body weight, similar to the S&P, decided that it likes where it was on Halloween and has not budged.
I must keep going, but I’ve gone actually nowhere. Very frustrating.
I will next time! I go through bags of that stuff
Heated up spinach, green beans, and chicken breast in a pan with some olive oil and called it dinner yesterday.
The contrasting texture of green beans vs spinach makes me not want to recommend it, but I’d eat it again.
The real world continues to plod along while the jawboning financial world stays in one place.
Just ignore them, they’re terrorists
