To clarify, to say “all NGO’s” is a slight stretch especially considering the DSA is a nonprofit. But it seems to me that largely NGO’s are doing important work addressing the failings of capitalism but they have to do that work through contributions of capital mediated by a prof class of managers.
As I do more work on this essay about nonprofits weaponizing corporate buzzwords I can’t help but feel like the entire NGO industry is just an ISA working to enforce capitalist ideology and refocus folks away from more radical work. I think I’m going to need to do more writing about this

I am working on an essay right now about how growth and fixed mindset became weapons to silence valid feedback and criticism at my former job in the nonprofit sector. This is incredibly helpful and mirrors my own frustration and skepticism of growth mindset.

Two thoughts about the Hunter Biden pardon. First, I completely understand why he did it, and I would have done the same in his situation. Second, and maybe more importantly, I’m frustrated Biden is abusing power to do this but wouldn’t do the same for even the smallest protections to things we need
