And it's done! I wasn't expecting to complete this project, and I made the decision to participate in Florgust this year at the last minute, after being unable to for the previous three years. I'm not 100% happy with how things went, but it is a major improvement from submitting nothing at all

With the final herb posted, I've officially caught up. It was a rocky start, and I didn't think I was going to be able to do it, but with one last entry to post, I'm on track to have posted a character for each day...even if all but one have been posted after the date they were meant to be...Whoops

And that's one more character group complete. Only one last herb, and one final spice to reveal now, and that's the whole month complete

Three groups left with a character missing, and three entries left to reveal them all...

I had pretty much ran out of steam by the time I was shading this one, and I wish I had done a better job at simplifying some of the complex forms (especially the blossom, which does not have a good silhouette)

All of the remaining herb characters belong to this group now. It took a while to catch up, but in a couple of days, all 32 of the characters will have been revealed

Finally revealing the partner of Salt from day 0. Since these two set the standard for the rest, They have proportions more in line with the characters I made during the first 2 years of Florgust, Which I quickly ditched when making the following quartet of characters. They were taller originally

Oh, and I forgot to recolour Tarragon's hands on the version that draws attention away from the previous characters, but that's not really important

It's been a while since we last saw this quartet, but it's finally complete, and marks the halfway point of fully revealed groups. It's a good looking group, but the background shape was a real afterthought, and it's definitely the laziest one (it's just an edit /copy-paste of the doorway I made)

Coming to the end of the month, and most of the groups are near complete at this point. I wasn't convinced I'd be able to catch up, so it's good to see fewer and fewer silhouettes left to reveal as time goes on

They're plants — they're immune to dirt

I made some odd choices with the designs and colours of this group, but after seeing them all together, I think it all came together much better than I originally thought it would

With a trio of exceptions, we're going to be alternating between this group of spices, and the large group of herbs up until the last day

Sweet Marjoram, being overshadowed by their more dominant contemporaries. If I had been more prepared at the beginning of the month, I might have come up with a more forgiving template for compositions

I love the straightforward reveals that don't involve moving around characters obscured by each other

The last and largest group. This one is entirely composed of herbs from the same family of plants. Now the hard part is done, I should be able to catch up by continuing to post two of these a day

And that's the third group of seven complete, before the eighth one has even been revealed.

This was a nice group — if anyone has any success making a beverage with lemongrass, fennel, bay leaf, mint, and turmeric combined, let me know if it's a viable blend

Another one complete. I'm officially past the halfway point now — 17 done, 15 to go. Still one entire group yet to be revealed, while some of the previously established ones will be receiving their final members soon

Another group quickly reaching completion. For a group I didn't have a clear idea of when I was planning groups, I'm actually happy with how this eclectic group of herbs have come together

First completed group! I'd usually revisit these to make minor or major tweaks, once all of the initial designs are complete, but I'm not sure if I'll do that this time. All 32 of the designs are one-shots, with no iteration phase, so if I ever make character profiles, I'll probably make new artwork

Some of these designs have far less thought put into them than others. With these month long, daily projects, the priority is just to get things done, and worry about whether I could have come up with something better at a later date

The penultimate group. With this one done, I only have to worry about one (admittedly large) group of character designs left to come up with

Sometimes I upload these and then realise I forgot to add certain details. At a later date, I might revisit all of the characters to make more polished versions

Two more new groups to go, and then hopefully it will be a smoother process to complete and upload the remaining characters each day

If I can post two of these a day from this point on, I should be able to post the final one on the 31st
