I have a sufficiently dim view of transhumanism having read on the eugenics movements of the 20th century that - even when supposing the best of intentions - caused monstrous harm due to having horrible views of what was desirous in humanity. Future transhumanist thought is no different!

One reason it's always better to write stories that mean something to you rather than jumping on the hype train of any particular publishing/fanfic fad is that those stories will last longer than whatever is being hyped at the moment.
I am eternally grateful Marx cannot post because he would be online 24/7 subtweeting individual posters on minute topics in between writing manifestos.

I always love these older depictions of the pike and shot formations! It just hits my brain in such an aesthetically pleasing way!
It's wild that I can think of more than one example of self proclaimed libertarian fiction where dueling is proposed as a reasonable action.
Personally I loved the beautiful blending of digital and practical effects that brought the film to life! Everything from the shifts of the two ships (Hail Mary and Blip 1) to Rocky and Grace's interactions! Easily my best film of 2025 so far!
We all have dual loyalty and pretending otherwise is absurd. It's fine. it's allowed. We have duties to community, family, ideology and country at different levels, and that is both allowed and right.
For the evening crowd, you should totally watch Project Hail Mary!

I have two independent bookstores in my hometown that have thrived despite the pandemic, so I'm really curious to see the numbers from Canada!
Again, it's interesting to point out that since LLM's stole literally every scifi book and convo ever written, they contain lots and lots and lots of training data about the statistical correlation of words like "AI" and "superhuman genetics" and "spaceship" and "immortality" and "I must scream."
I'm not joking when I say mRNA technology is more important than "AI" and it's a tragedy we're throwing billions into one while our government is aggressively defunding the other.

This is one of the greatest takeaways of the pandemic for me. For some people because bodies were not literally piling up in the streets it was not as bad as it was!
The second take away was how deeply unprepared the self described survivalist community seemed to be!

Indeed both statements can be true. However, one of the things which is driving AI/LLM usage is that so many companies are attempting to force them onto users which - I think - ought to make us very suspicious of the user data provided. It's use is growing, but not wholly organically.
