If there's one thing that defines modern politics it's money getting what money wants.
Well, if they are aghast, I'm sure they would also like to come up with ideas to make it harder for the likes of Trump to trade and profit this way
But even on a really trivial level, if traders can bank billions on volatility on a daily basis with something like Trump and Iran - there's not much incentive for them to influence their governments otherwise.
It's a glib way of saying it, the route of and control of the money influences the players, the funding for arms, etc.
I am sure that without the temptation of money, Russia would have found it harder to buy so many influential and dishonest voices, for example.
Rebuilding a wordpress website built with a paper-publishing mindset, and working out the best way to reach an audience since I bet search engines won't promote a site that eschews taboola, programmatic ads and CPM revenue streams.
I can't help thinking that if...
In times of war - any war - globally...
All stock trading were frozen to one block of trades per trader per week.
A lot of money would be found for peace, very quickly.
Businesses, funds, and employees
Would not collapse overnight.
And cargo would still voyage.
Harming the NHS' ability to provide services is a fringe benefit for these lobbyists and manipulators...
2040 will arrive before BBC, SKY etc ask Farage why
1) “Winners” of his data gathering drawer to pay a Street’s energy for a year, went to Reform groupies pictured with him in 2019 ❌
2) Why some ppl in the street received money & others haven’t❌
They’ll interview him re Starmer, Migrants etc obvs
It is a coordinated bullying campaign and what's bizarre is that you'd think people like Navratilova would a: have lives, distraction and comforts enough to enjoy their time on earth without picking on anyone else, and b: someone to run their socials.
Quite apart from #Farage - again - turning a convenient blind eye to financial shenanigans, I can't help thinking that the, very unoriginal, slogan in front of Richard Tice evokes deeply unpleasant memories of someone best left utterly forgotten... 😡

[CN. Transphobia]
This is sort of the whole business in a nutshell too, because the basis of the tribunal wasn't that Upton had assaulted anyone or acted in any way inappropriately, but that a trans woman simply using women's facilities was a violation of the provision of "single sex spaces".

Folks, folks, FOLKS!
Big Business are very large recipients of welfare, so they know what they're talking about when it comes to spending public money and not seeing a return.
They just lack self-awareness and/or shame.
Folk in England are rightly concerned about the level of promotion the BBC gives Farage's Reform, and the probability that this will sway voters.
It's nonstop anti-SNP coverage from the BBC in Scotland - and has been for years. Yet despite this it is still by far the most popular party.
I would love to see Starmer and the rest of Labour read this and still argue that Palantir is safe for the UK to work with. They are acting like it's the old world, not the new.

If you're in the market for an Arturia MiniBrute2 let me know before I stick it on eBay! Very lightly used, comes with PSU, box and manual and all the little cables, everything it came with. Postage from Nottingham, UK.
It is, but not at the moment due to Economic Circumstances 😂 And it's a synth with a lot of overlap with the Moog Messenger and Behringer MS-1 so I would find it hard to justify.
I had one a few years ago, they're very good.
It happened in the UK as well, perhaps more devastatingly given the strength of the rail network before Beeching (by connection, if not condition and usage) and the fact that when everyone has a car, those cars need to be stored - one railway carriage = one car park, one street with space & pavement
Destroy #TheNerdReich.
“Farage rarely turns up to do his actual job. Yet he finds time to jet off around the world on his donor’s private plane and trouser half a million quid while families struggle. Reform are not on your side. They’re just in it for themselves”
It’s so obvious, it hurts.

They are so nice. In the '90s one of the photographers who worked with us had what I am sure was a 100 Avant Turbo Quattro. I got to drive it when we had an event to cover (I remember trying to get digital photos to print on a Powerbook 1400cs at 5am).

"What smoke machine?"

And this is my fundamental problem with these politicians.
Fine. Have strong standards.
Don't rely on the party to enforce them. Make it a legal issue.
OTOH it reinforces what we already know. Tice has no moral decency and considers it something other people should have to give him an advantage.
I think it's the autocheck unit - there's resistance on what should be a clean ground on the "fails open" sensor, and the rev counter not working would suggest the high-rpm pressure threshold switch may be getting mixed signals.
A drawing of ET waving at us on the cardboard packaging for a 1980s product called "E.T. Punch Balls" As this is a repost of a Feb 2023 tweet of mine, found here https://x.com/DemonTomatoDave/status/1623464715077795840?s=19 , I have taken this photo from the No Context E.T. account who posted it there, and who originally I retweeted.
Never became as popular as "ET Phone Home" did it
They wouldn't be secrets if he told them!
But he should be allowed to keep those secrets.
At home.
On minimum wage.
Reliant on the NHS for his health.
Screencap of Telegraph article headline: Musk's SpaceX urges Trump to crack down on EU satellites. Aerospace company accuses bloc of "imposing burdens and obligations on foreign operators".
'Elon Musk’s SpaceX has urged the Trump administration to crack down on EU satellite businesses, saying the planned EU Space Act, a sweeping set of rules governing space businesses, "would impose burdensome obligations on foreign operators" while favouring EU companies.'
