I've little interest in overpriced RSD editions, but a lot of shops make it a nice event, with live music, DJs etc. Had the pleasure of terrorising unsuspecting punters DJing free jazz in Monorail a few years back. A punk band was about to go on, seemed appropriate!

At least 254 killed in Israel’s devastating attacks across Lebanon Israel carries out 100 strikes across Lebanon in 10 minutes, health minister says hospitals overwhelmed with victims.

Where to find the words anymore?

What to say when Israel continues to behave like this?

And no condemnation at all from the UK Government. They carry on business as usual as if Israel aren't carrying out genocides in both Gaza and Lebanon.

Back to basics in some respects, but very satisfying and the Venom tribute track is great, with some gnarly lead guitar.

Tbf by “do their jobs” he means cover independent releases, rather than rely on publicists and bigger labels, although as I pointed out to him, this tends to come down to editors/publishers.

This is Apartheid.

It's morally disgusting - and comes at the same time as Israel is committing an ongoing genocide.

To see the Labour Government defend Israel repeatedly will horrify the British public - it cannot go on like this.

'Kidnap, torture, drowning, coffins, beatings, death and sexual humiliation' Professor Helen Duffy has just closed a major court battle which put British intelligence in the frame for colluding in torture at Guantanamo. She…

How can Britain ever claim to be on the side of right when the UK happily colluded in grotesque acts of torture carried out by America?

In my long read I talk to Helen Duffy, one of the world’s leading human rights lawyers, about Britain and America’s role in the global collapse of the rule of law

He was always a chancer and a reactionary, so Reform is a natural fit. Absolutely hilarious that they knocked him back.

That’s fair, although like Kulk, I’m a Shadow non-believer. Best thing he did by far is Brain Freeze with Cut Chemist.

Scruff is twee pish though, looping Moondog into cutesy bourgeois basicness. Vibert etc ok, but that’s a different Warp thing, Kulk’s point stands: trip-hop making hip-hop safe for white students & This Life sorts, while RZA, El-P et al were genuinely going OUT

As the late great Neil Kulkarni put it, “trip hop? Hip hop is already a trip.” I think Massive Attack & Tricky absolutely stands up, but they’re coming out of dancehall, post-punk & hip-hop, none of the bourgeoisie coffee table pish that came to be associated with the genre.

Keep getting hit with FB ads for his horrendous Britpop Classical tour, claiming tickets are selling fast, which ofc means nobody is going.

Remember seeing Monteith in the Traverse bar 20 odd years ago, loudly waving a cigar around like the smug bumptious Tory boy he is. Think he was still an MSP then, absolute tit.

Would second seeing your GP. I downloaded a sleep app to record my snoring/breathing and showed him it. Got a referral to the sleep clinic at the hospital and was seen to pretty quickly. Took a gadget home overnight, they read the results the next day and immediately issued me with a CPAP.

Yeah that was the point at which I knew I had to do something about it. But it's been worth it for several reasons, not least just having more energy.

Fingers crossed. I went from waking up several times to getting a pretty solid night’s sleep within a couple of weeks. Breathing has been better in general & I don’t get dopey during the day. And no repeats of the horrible time I was in a lucid apnea dream and had to scream myself awake.

The normal Resmed ones are ok though, didn’t have too much irritation once it’s worn in

I got a cheap replacement for the original NHS one and it was horrible. Tried liners but they were useless, so bit the bullet & got one of these. It’s been great. No irritation so far & much more comfortable. shop.resmed.com/GB/en/search...

I’ve had one for a couple of years now. Took me a while to get used to it but it’s really made a difference. Snoring much better & the the sleep apnea frights are gone. Mask can leave marks, but just got one padded with memory foam and it’s much more comfortable. Not cheap but worth it.
