Yeah, actual useable documentation is very minimal/non-existent for most atproto projects right now (mine included ^^ will get around to it soon i’m sure…) @plyr.fm is the rare shining example of how things should be for the rest of us

Yes repo here: github.com/flo-bit/atmo...
It’s creating a new events for each, didnt wanna bother with all the complications of actual recurring events right now :P
Haven’t seen that, i’ll take a look :)
Currently only for specific people you can see their past events on their profile page or if you search by name you can find past events too
added a quick first version for adding some recurring events, only works for already published events though (on event page click "edit event" and then "add recurring events" at the bottom, up to 52 recurring currently)
also feel free to shoot any other feature requests, bug reports, etc my way :)
blento kinda has that (i've opted not to go further than showing a bsky icon for now, but it could theoretically autofill from the lexicons you have, i just already see lots of people saying "hey i never created a blento, why am i on there?")
e.g. here's your blento:

Next week on Friday I'm doing my first ever office hours! If you have questions for this is your chance!
atmo.rsvp/p/thisismiss...
exactly, for now it would be all events from that account, but i'm also working on calendars where you can add just specific events (e.g. just all the "office hours" events in case someone is just interested in those)
but you can totally send that url for other people to use too
ah sorry i misunderstood, ics files that you download don't automatically update, but you can subscribe to ics endpoints too (and those *do* auto-update), atmo.rsvp currently only has one that you use to see all events you're going too and hosting
It does sync event changes and deletions (currently you can only cancel events by deleting them), but depending on client it does take a while to update (eg apple calendar by default only refreshes once every day) thats a problem you have everywhere if you use ics though
You Eurosky account is for much more than Bluesky. We’ve been trying out @blento.app a fun, easy way to create a personal webpage. It’s soooo good. Give it a try.
blento.app
Yeah exactly
Lots of small issues like that still, I think Eli didn’t expect everyone and their grandmother to immediately build VOD frontends and publish them 😁 but he said somewhere he’ll go through all talks and will fix those issues
even better might be if the PDS could someone decide what to show as the default
ive also been thinking about adding something like that, that would just allow a wildcard redirect or something to blento (so its just one cname a PDS has to set) and then have a basic automatically filled in version of a blento for everyone that hasnt created one
hmm it *should* delete the record, did you by any chance reload immediately after deleting? (there's currently a bug where it takes a few seconds for your delete to be saved and blento might still have a stale version, that then gets readded)
if its not that, feel free to send me dm
rough first version of atmosphereconf VODs up on atmo.rsvp too, more updates coming soon
atmo.rsvp/p/atmosphere...
really love what @stream.place is doing with that vod jam :)
Ah really gotta fix that html encoding bug in the open graph image 🥲
Of course, lets go!
Yes, events in your area is already on the todo list
Not sure what you mean by nesting embeds, but happy to chat :)
yeaaah... that reads very *rest-of-the-fucking-owl* like if you're trying to build feeds that are not bluesky specific though :P
though i suppose my main problem is still following feeds, which is really a different thing altogether
this as well as a "how tf do feeds actually work and how can you get them to work for other things" would be an interesting topic for your office hours 👀
and it might make a lot more sense to invest in multiple things doing the same/similar thing, cause if one "wins" -> potentially good for all of them
...show your readers). also skeptical how often people really move somewhere else even if its easy-ish, as long as you don't completely fuck with them.
feels like the investment calculus changes: you have less (or no) 100-1000x startups but potentially a lot more 10-100x
i dont know, sure there's less of a moat, but on the flip side its a lot easier to get content/customers
taking the standard.site projects as an example: if a new competitor pops up, that helps all the existing platforms (more readers for people writing on your platform and more content you can...
yeah i actually tried to switch to long polling, but gave up on that after waiting ~5 minutes for things to load in the atmosphereconf space :P (not sure if that even worked correctly though, i did only change client side code)

*cough, cough* where is the handle typeahead? and using `transition:generic`? have y'all heard of the new granular permissions? 😁
