I think this guy might have inspired a new generation round the Merseyside golf coast! en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Tommy_F...
And yet another massive Starmer out front page headline from @theguardian.com - meanwhile good news for Ukraine finally gets reported on page 26. Interesting how this story broke in the lead up to local elections.
They are integral to the economy here, I suspect, not just because of the golfers from far flung places but also very much used by locals - from the public one to Royal Birkdale which is hosting the Masters this summer.
The 'golf coast ' in the north west/Merseyside is mostly part of an SSSI with red squirrels, sand lizards, natterjack toads and more. A bit like Tyneham in Dorset where throwing out humans for the army left a great home for wildlife, there can be unexpected results. I'm not a golf fan btw!
Is anyone actually listening to BBC news on Radio 4? You'd never know there's chaos in the world with Iran and the US, that Ukraine's going to get the EU funding as Hungarians have dropped the veto. Forget Sudan, Gaza, climate change, they're obsessed with hounding Starmer. Give it a break BBC!
⚡️EU ambassadors back 20th package of Russia sanctions after Hungary, Slovakia drop veto.
EU ambassadors agreed on the 20th package of sanctions imposed against Moscow in response to its full-scale invasion of Ukraine on April 22, after Hungary and Slovakia lifted their veto over the measures.
...Romania, South Korea and Bulgaria.
Update today is that the UK and France are to host a 2-day conference in the UK on advanced details for military planning to support the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz.
Over 30 countries are expected to attend. It starts today.

My sister posted 2 birthday cards 2nd class from Essex, one to Hampshire one to Southport. The Hampshire one arrived 7 days later, Southport, 14 days later and only because there was a parcel due that day. We get post roughly once a week. Our postie tells us it's orders from the billionaire tier...
And it depends also on what you favour in terms of content and whether you prefer tragedy or history to comedy or magic etc.
I don't think anyone will notice but -spoiler alert - the one I mentioned was joint first with H42
I did Henry IV part 1 for a public exam at school. I can't say I agree with the critic's placement of it 😑
There is a world out there, you know? Wars, climate change, etc - but if you really want to focus on one UK political man's behaviour just ahead of local elections there's always Nigel Farage or Richard Tice.
Aaaargh!
Marble kerb edging at the bottom of the picture, a small orange child's sock lying across into a soil border with sparse straggles of grass.
In the local cemetery where I often walk. Where is the other sock, I wonder?
Congratulations.

A unique 'collective' reading with six Longbarrow poets in Sheffield tomorrow evening (Tuesday 21 April). Hope to see you there.
I woke up at 1am and didn't get back to sleep. But the sun's shining and the sky's blue and the birds are singing so - onwards. Lovely blossom, thank you!
Picture of the week - Odesa…😢
Anyone know whether today is a ‘ceasefire’ day or a ‘destroy your civilisation’ day yet?
I challenge you not to smile. Or feel a teeny bit more hopeful than you did before you watched it (all).
Thanks @onestpress.onestnetwork.com for sharing.
These incredible Buff Tip Moths blend in so well with branches that you might mistake them for sticks. Nature's masters of disguise are truly fascinating!
A country lane and on the right the roadside blooming with forget me nots

Please repost if you agree that the BBC has been undermining democracy and enabling foreign interference in our politics by promoting and protecting Farage.
Me too. Hard work but what for?

And leading the news with it. Shocking.
