New York’s climate law is under attack from the governor, lying pundits, and hundreds of fossil fuel lobbyists in Albany, because it stops new dirty energy from being built, finally making incredibly profitable obsolete energy obsolete. Now you know.
New Yorkers are being pummeled by Governor Hochul’s Orwellian “all of the above” rate hikes for gas and gas-powered electricity, now that renewables are a fraction of the price, but are being slowed or even blocked, to advance fossil gas.
New Yorkers deserve better.

Today we are in Albany with our allies and 200+ people, to raise our voices in support of @govkathyhochul repealing the 100-foot rule! New Yorkers shouldn’t pay for unneeded, unaffordable gas pipes that drive up bills by $700 million per year. New Yorkers need real relief & all-electric buildings.
Want to stop our work for the climate & environment? It appears you just hire Governor Hochul’s husband’s law firm to do it (but not him wink wink😉) and… poof you can have any law violated, not enforced, delayed, weakend, or project approved.

Seriously- NOTHING. In 4+ years while gas bills up 40%, half renewables projects scrapped over a $1 a month increase (about 1%) electricity supply dwindling, solar, efficiency and more cancelled. Please explain like we are 3 years old. TIA.

Opinion from those radicals at the American Lung Association. We need 40% more electricity in just a few years to meet tech demand. But without offshore wind WHERE WILL THAT ENERGY COME FROM? It’s gonna get dark, expensive, and damaging if we are forced to rely on the dirty energy of the past.
