Hochul blames activists’ lawsuit for climate budget standstill The governor is set on amending the 2019 Climate Act in wake of a lawsuit filed by environmental activists, and says the need for change is their fault.

Hi Kids,
Remember. If you ignore a law for years you had every opportunity to comply with, but refused to, and they finally catch you and win in court, continue to commit that crime, and blame the victim and anyone enforcing the law, like @GovKathyHochul!

The best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago. Second best time is today.

Same for renewable energy. For the same reasons.

What will do you do when “all of the above” energy, a euphemism for no renewables, drops on your head?

Governor Hochul, already in contempt of the climate law and in violation of others, in the pocket of the gas and nuclear industries, is racing you towards that.
She gets to FA, you’re gonna FO.

New York’s climate law is under attack from the governor, lying pundits, and hundreds of fossil fuel lobbyists in Albany, because it stops new dirty energy from being built, finally making incredibly profitable obsolete energy obsolete. Now you know.

New Yorkers are being pummeled by Governor Hochul’s Orwellian “all of the above” rate hikes for gas and gas-powered electricity, now that renewables are a fraction of the price, but are being slowed or even blocked, to advance fossil gas.
New Yorkers deserve better.

We’re sure this is “just a coincidence” this is happening within hours of NY State refusing to acknowledge all proven facts, and ordering no rehearing in the deeply flawed, law-flouting process and decision to approve that pipeline

Too bad fed lawlessness not only wasn’t fought by the governor for what it is, she instead adopted lawlessness (for herself and fossil fuels donors, not for the people of NY) and has paused, delayed or watered down ALL climate laws illegally, and though court ordered to comply, has vowed not to.

Wow, Trump not living up to his deal with @Governor.ny.gov Hochul who gave away New Yorkers rights, environment, and billion$ for an unneeded pipeline, and doubled down on fracked gas, gets this.
Golly gee, who coulda seen it coming?

Today we are in Albany with our allies and 200+ people, to raise our voices in support of @govkathyhochul repealing the 100-foot rule! New Yorkers shouldn’t pay for unneeded, unaffordable gas pipes that drive up bills by $700 million per year. New Yorkers need real relief & all-electric buildings.

Hochul Approved Permits That Could Help Clients of Her Husband’s Firm

Want to stop our work for the climate & environment? It appears you just hire Governor Hochul’s husband’s law firm to do it (but not him wink wink😉) and… poof you can have any law violated, not enforced, delayed, weakend, or project approved.

Seriously- NOTHING. In 4+ years while gas bills up 40%, half renewables projects scrapped over a $1 a month increase (about 1%) electricity supply dwindling, solar, efficiency and more cancelled. Please explain like we are 3 years old. TIA.

Now that he wants to build data centers (that will need all sorts of dirty energy, now he says we shouldn’t care about climate change and although it will affect poor countries, too bad for them, because some of us MAY be ok.

Data centers are booming. But there are big energy and environmental risks How tech companies and government officials handle local impacts will shape the industry's future in the U.S.

When they demand your electricity and that you pay to provide it to them, where will YOUR electricity come from? With offshore wind farms, solar farms, and battery storage shut down, nuclear takes decades, and gas turbines on 7 year backlog what will it be?
We are making choices. Choose wisely.

This is why, @govkathyhochul we will not accept a pipeline in exchange for offshore wind- You can’t stop the illegal orders run on feelings, opinions, and dictatorship. You allow the pipe, he reneges- you got nothing, New Yorkers get bigger bills for dirty energy instead

And the repeal of the 100 ft rule, which drives much of the overbuild in gas pipes causing these rate increases sits on her desk unsigned. “If only there was something she could do”.

Big Tech’s A.I. Data Centers Are Driving Up Electricity Bills for Everyone

Opinion from those radicals at the American Lung Association. We need 40% more electricity in just a few years to meet tech demand. But without offshore wind WHERE WILL THAT ENERGY COME FROM? It’s gonna get dark, expensive, and damaging if we are forced to rely on the dirty energy of the past.
