Hey I think as SWers in the global north championing decrim, it's actually really important to understand that there is a hair width distance between sex trafficking and sex tourism in many of these places.

Even the best agencies are predatory. I could go in detail with my own experience and that of others, but please learn from my mistakes and the mistakes of those who came before you and don't sign a contract with someone who doesn't have your best interest in mind.

It's about money to them, it's about using you. It's about getting their foot in the door to an industry they should have no control over. I see the way these men talk to each other about these things, they do not respect you.

They do not care about the reputation or longevity or your business or career, they want to get as much money out of you as fast as possible. If you are not their most lucrative creator, you get heavily deprioritized. The % they take are not fair for the work they do.

Not all of them do this but these are the guys who make the porn spam bots. Sign with them and that's how they will get you "fans"

These are not even the worst things that can go wrong.

Build your own team and maintain control. Build your own team and replace those who need to be replaced. Train how they need to be trained. You could even find an independent manager who is a retired creator herself and fully under your own control if you need to hand off management duties.

Don't give your hard earned money to these men who don't belong in the industry and want to take advantage of you for all you're worth because it's something they could never do.
