Can the president send ICE agents to police the polls? No — it's illegal, and ICE has no role in elections. Here’s what you need to know.

History is going to very unkind to Tim Cook.
Gay history is going to be brutal to Tim Cook, one of our own who sold out our community.
Tim Cook donated $1M to Trump’s inauguration.
He fawned over Trump and gifted him a 24-karat gold plaque (as Apple lobbied for tariff exemptions).
Apple donated to Trump’s White House ballroom.
And it removed ICE tracking apps from its stores following a demand from the DOJ.
Remember this.
We are blessed to be that touchstone for you, Emily.
You are in our prayers for the local rough moments!

I’m never gonna sell my faith to anyone else — I was raised spiritually feral & believe there’s many paths we as fallible humans walk to try to glimpse what’s ultimately beyond our comprehension — but I’m glad to have the Paulists as a touchstone when local faith community has been… rough.
My faith is shaped by people of many beliefs, & my path as a Catholic is lit in no small part by the work of the Paulists, who welcome those who (like me) have no church home, assert (& live out) the dignity of all, & build “bridges of respect & collaboration with people of other world religions”
Here's a new commercial about our #mission to help build bridges between people:
THE HOUSE JUST VOTED TO EXTENDED TPS FOR HAITI!!! Thank you, Rep. Ayanna Pressley for your leadership on this. Proud to help co-lead this effort for our Haitian brothers, sisters, and siblings. What a day.
Last night I was honored to be the keynote speaker for the induction ceremony for the National Honor Society at Lake Buena Vista High School.
Voting on spy powers at 2am will definitely help with trust in the government!
This just failed.
“The Gospel of Quentin Tarantino … which talks a LOT more about the feet washing.”
"Because you get to a point where you have a 12-chapter book, and the first chapter's been revised 11 times and the last one hasn't been revised yet." I thought that was very instructive.
Call us out why don't you
YSU has something called the English Festival for junior high and high school kids. I went fairly regularly, because I liked to read and it gave me a day to run around campus. Occasionally, I even learned something, like when an author said, "Never make broad revisions until you're actually done...
As Alessandro Gisotti of Vatican News wrote: "A Good Samaritan on the Chair of Peter." Pope Leo XIV visits St. Paul Hospital, in Douala, Cameroon, today.
This was a regular summer day trip when I was a kid.
This is better than cable.
I went to a super Gen-Z wedding where no one stood for the bride. It didn’t feel right.. Call me old fashioned but y’all gotta stand.
A sneak peek of this week's clip from Paulist Fr. Chris Lawton - from the bell tower of @paulistfathers.bsky.social Mother Church, the Church of Saint Paul the Apostle, NYC.
Can you name the brave Paulist seen climbing down the steps?

I will never forgive these assholes for making me repeatedly agree with Rand Paul 🤦🏻♂️
KERNEN: We'd never be able to send anyone back if you needed a judicial warrant every single time
RAND PAUL: Well, I don't think that's true. Obeying the 4th Amendment of the Constitution shouldn't be too difficult. It's something we fought the revolution over.
Pope Leo XIV is heading to the central African nation of Cameroon with a message of peace for its separatist region and for talks with President Paul Biya. n.pr/4cpcED3
My personal heroes are Ukrainian first responders. The best of humanity, without question.
Being a first responder is stressful even under good circumstances. Running into buildings blown apart by drones and missiles, knowing that the attack may well not be over? That is a lion's courage.
A toddler nearly died at an ICE detention facility in Dilley, Texas. After more than a week in intensive care, she was sent back. Sarah Stillman reports. www.newyorker.com/magazine/202...
We Are Nothing Like the Gestapo.
I doubt that Pope Leo XIV will lose any sleep over this, before he begins his pilgrimage to Africa tomorrow. But the rest of us should. Because it is unhinged, uncharitable and unchristian. Is there no bottom to this moral squalor?
