We know that for smaller creative groups, the thought of accessibility can be overwhelming, but it doesn't need to be!
That's why we've co-produced this Toolkit with DPOs, d/Deaf and Disabled people to give you tips on making your space inclusive for all!

Today is a day when arts degrees are worthless, but the product of those degrees is so valuable it would kill an entire industry if they were made to pay for it.
As a Disabled-led business, we know the barriers to Disabled people working aren't going to be solved by this.
Reducing the 1yr+ waiting list for Access to Work could.
Reducing NHS waiting times for treatment could.
Making sure employers provide necessary accommodations could.
We have reached a point where the dehumanisation of marginalised people is normalised. This is terrifying.
At Lex Scotland we know wealth inequality is a serious issue, and leads to marginalisation. It also means marginalised people don't have the services and supports they need.
#LexLeaders aren't just CEOs and bosses. They are also leaders in our communities. Peaceful protest is a vital part of being able to influence change on the things that impact us and matter to us.
Thanks Mark! We will also be sharing clips and extracts on our website soon, watch this space... Your presentation was fab, worth a watch!
A great opportunity for those impacted by the criminal justice system
Peaceful protest against genocide is illegal, yet inciting racist riots is fine...
Sadly as a trans-led organisation Parliament is currently innacessible for us. Is there a way that us & many others that can't attend in person, can access this event? It seems ironic that it is about marginalised people having the ability to engage in public life yet it is inaccessible to many
As a trans-led organisation, we will be continuing to acknowledge and support trans people.
Watch this space for some free training coming soon!
“The causes of NSD are not yet fully understood. Some people blame environmental factors, or a lack of vaccines, but we do know that genetics play an important part. This means that if you have neurotypical family members, that does place your child at increased risk.”
Holocaust survivor Stephen Kapos on protest ⬇️
The crackdown on our right to protest started with rhetoric- ministers saying peaceful protests are “hate marches”.
Now it’s in policy, expanding police powers to crackdown on our right to speak truth to power.
Still time to sign up for this!
If you can't join us live, everyone who registers will have access to the recording afterwards
As someone who worked in schools under section 28 back in the 1990s, this sounds far too familiar...
Graphic with a purple to pink gradient background with triangle shapes. In the centre it says "Report Launch: Still Complicated Bi+ experiences of services and recommendations for improvement". The Equality Network logo is beneath.
Today we're launching our new report, ‘Still Complicated’, the follow-up to our 2015 ‘Complicated?’ report, exploring bi+ people's experiences of services and recommendations for how they could be supported better 🩷💜💙

This day/week aims to raise awareness and understanding of non-binary people.
Here in the UK non-binary people lack legal recognition, face barriers to accessing healthcare and other spaces which are divided in binary categories, increasing hate crime and discrimination in employment and services.
Register now to join us live on the day, or if you can't make it, everyone who registers will get access to the recording after the event!

A safe place to share experiences and know it will be helping. Thanks @transactualuk.bsky.social
Graphic with a pink to purple gradient background. It says "he Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights said today that he "is concerned about the current climate for trans people [in the UK]. ... He deplores that discussions tend towards the exclusion of trans people from many aspects of society, rather than ensuring that their inclusion and dignity are upheld." At the bottom are the Scottish Trans and Equality Network logo.
The Council of Europe Commissioner for Human Rights, Michael O’Flaherty, conducted a visit to the United Kingdom from 30 June to 4 July 2025, and a report was released today, including his thoughts on the state of trans rights in the UK at the moment.

I'm genuinely really glad you are able to do that. I just know for me that not being able to take time off work, access good quality easy to prepare food and other barriers really does limit my ability to do self-care & recover from burnout. For me, benefit and service cuts really impact this too.
As an Autistic led organisation, this is just far too accurate for comfort! Dread to think what the Lex Scotland attic holds...
“This is something healthy and sustainable that I can keep up forever,” she added. “If I play my cards right, my sister might even let me come to her hen do! We just can’t do predrinks in my attic, for obvious reasons.”
Given the thousands being pushed into poverty right now through the cuts, it's sadly going to be evn more people over the next few years...
While outwardly good advice, for many it's not internal pressure, it's external. Those not lucky enough to have financial & practical support push ourselves further than we want to. With PIP and Access to Work cuts, as well as barriers to adequate social & healthcare, rest isn't always an option
