She was one of the first servants I raised to level 100, and it was entirely because of this event

A Sony NW-A45 Walkman, still showing a full battery after using it for 3 or 4 hours
I was a bit worried that my walkman’s battery would have seriously degraded after not touching it for years and years, but it’s still going strong. I had also forgotten that the battery lasts 40 hours on a single charge. What a little champ
Unfortunate that pictures aren’t working at all but that will be worth it when it loads
If you’re around Tokyo Skytree you could also wander over to Sensoji unless you’re sick of temples. Honestly that general area is nice for just walking around.
I was looking at what else you could do while you’re there and Google’s top recommendation is “micro-pig cafe”
But I do recommend the Edo Tokyo Museum if it fits into your schedule; in addition to the Edo period it also covers pre- and post-war Tokyo, including a pretty sobering exhibit about the Tokyo firebombing. I haven’t been able to recommend it to people in the past since it’s been closed for so long
That’s also not very far from the Tokyo Skytree if you had plans to see that
I haven’t spent too much time in Tokyo, and the time I did was mostly multiple trips to Odaiba to see the big Gundam. Although the Edo Museum is pretty cool, and it just reopened after being closed for years for renovations. It’s also right next to the Ryugoku Kokugikan
Thirteen U.S. troops died trying to get these people to safety — Afghan interpreters, soldiers, and the families of our service members. Veterans spent sleepless nights during the chaotic withdrawal fighting to keep them alive. Now our own government is going to abandon them.
Realizing that this won’t work as intended if this one doesn’t load either
Sanjusangendo is about a 2 minute walk from where my apartment was, it’s such a cool spot and it doesn’t really get the heavy crowds that the other places do. I would have also told you to go to Ryoanji if you were at Kinkakuji since it’s right next door, but if you didn’t, well, it’s a lot of rocks
Also if you’re in Kyoto go check out Sanjusangendo
Usually when I wanted to go game shopping I’d just take the train to Osaka and go to Den Den Town. I don’t think you’ll find much in that area
Did I just argue with a joke? Part of a Bluesky educational series
A very rusty Ford Prefect for sale on Facebook marketplace
A google search for “Ford Prefect” gives you a picture of the car, but the accompanying description is for the Hitchhiker’s Guide to the Galaxy character
There he is
I definitely made some a face when I first saw/heard it
Also I knew he was in Super GT and I still got jumpscared by Kyvat
Hmm…thinking about if I want to say this on the record…
Fraga made an appearance in a collaboration video with my *coughvtuberoshicough* and from there I was like hey I like this kid
I’m sorry to let you down on this one, but I’ve never really tried any kind of the more realistic driving games
I’d normally be inclined to root for a Toyota team but there are Just. So. Many. Supras.
So, funny you ask, but the first time I went to Japan there was a race on the tv and I was like hang on Hatsune Miku is on that car (which was still when they had the BMW Z4), so I gotta always go with GSR lol. For GT500 I’m not as picky, but I do like Igor Fraga so I’ll cheer for Nakajima I think
Haha thanks I was actually watching that yesterday
Random.org wants to see more arcade games apparently, and this Saturday it’s chosen Shin Samurai Spirits aka Samurai Shodown II (MVS). This was really the only entry in the series that I ever had any familiarity with. It was already in the Neo Geo motherboard when I got it out. #randomgamesaturday
The amount of pop culture references he makes really threw me off the first time through
😢
I didn't realize until just now that the train was the Galaxy Express 777
I’ve lost a lot of weight for reasons that are still being investigated, but at least I can comfortably wear a Japanese size L now
I decided to re-register an account to enjoy the memes of our 1990s #MoonChild game. 😁👍
I designed Hoi and Moon Child. Reinier van Vliet coded it, and Ramon Braumuller made the soundtrack.

I had to go look that model up and no, that one is like 3x as expensive as this was lol
Okay yeah, that was the right answer, of course
